The Redford Township Police is a progressive law enforcement agency that serves a population of 51,622 citizens. The 11.25 square mile community is located in Wayne County bordering the Communities of Detroit, Southfield, Livonia, and Dearborn Heights.

The Redford Township Police Department employs 54 sworn Police Officers, 6 Civilian Dispatch/Jailers, and 4 Civilian Support Staff members.

Called in a rape and dog fighting both times I was met with childish dispatchers that care far more about what your address is than helping. I spoke with a sargent about it and even then I was met with non answers and confrontation. I am a homeowner a tax payer and obviously a good semaratin and they have completely discouraged me from calling them. I am moving out of this city very very soon. I dont want my daughter to grow up in a place where the police are this way. It makes me sick. I was pro police but I am starting to understand why these cops are dropping like flies.

I hate this police department, my grandmother is an alcoholic and I haven't gotten in contact with her for 48 hours and they went over there to do a Welfare Check and a police officer called me back and said "she's fine she misplaced her phone, goodbye." Like that was really rude I was having panic attack I was worried she had fallen because she did in the past. Thank God I got ahold of her by phone and she was ok and grateful but the police need to stop being mean spirited towards family members who are struggling with addiction, including their supporters/loved ones. Take more classes!

The officer was very rude! Snatched the keys out of the ignition and threw them. Whatever seeds you plant officer, that harvest will be multiplied.

Rude and dry to my elderly grandmother. Supposed to protect the city but rude to my grandma. Uncalled for

I went here to get a purchase permit and they were really nice to me . The whole process took 30 minutes and then I was in and out.
