It has now been over one year since I started going to Rehab and Revive, and they have improved various discomforts/pains I have had.  They continue to provide top quality service from the receptionists to the therapists.  The whole team is bright, helpful, and knowledgeable.

This review was 10 weeks in the making. Long story short: Rehab and Revive transformed my physical health!

I came here after spraining and fracturing my foot from my mom and my sister's recommendation. I had been in a walking boot for almost 2 months and still had stiffness/discomfort walking. I knew my weakened foot needed strengthening and retraining but to be honest I was a little skeptical of what to expect... or rather didn't really know what to expect at all. My mom had painted Dr. Lin as a miracle worker who could not only strengthen my foot but could also heal all my health problems from scoliosis to bad eyesight. Though I trusted her research of yelp reviews, youtube, and google to find a good therapist, I wasn't sure if I could believe all the hype. well...the hype is real. Honestly this place has completely blown my expectations. 

Dr. Lin draws from a variety of different areas of study to really address the root causes of your pain/symptoms. He really approaches your body holistically. In the first session, which is a consultation/assessment of mobility, nerves, strength/balance, I found out that the imbalances in my body from my scoliosis were an underlying cause of my fracture. Throughout the course of treatment, he dealt not only with my foot fracture, but also with my posture (standing, sitting, sleeping), walking gait, running form, scoliosis, shoulder mobility...even some eye strengthening exercises :) 

One of the really great things about Dr. Lin is the focus on long-term functionality. Unlike chiropractic or acupuncture treatment, it's more about retraining your body into healthy patterns than just about the immediate relief. This is why Dr. Lin gives take home tools for building/maintaining your gains. The exercise videos/handouts are super helpful when you're not exactly sure how to hold a position, and he is shockingly good at responding back to email/text questions. Btw, if you have a question, his breadth and depth of knowledge is incredible! From period issues to not lifting up your chin as you speak to long term effects of intermittent fasting...so far there's no question he hasn't been able to answer. 

And then,  like other reviewers have said, the care/welcome of the staff is really incomparable. Shout out to Chelsea, José (who has his own amazing healing story), and Thomas who are the staff/ intern that I've interacted with the most! You guys have been amazing. I've been greeted with a smiling welcome every. single. time. I've come in. And as I'm waiting for Dr. Lin (heads up as you make your appointments: plan to come 10 minutes early), I'm always asked if I want water or tea or coffee, and if I need to ice after a session, they're always on top of it, even bringing you blankets or your phone as you ice. Really above and beyond my expectations for any doctor's office.

One note about making appointments: it is helpful if you know your schedule ahead of time and book in advance. The schedule fills up quickly, but if you have a specific time slot that is currently taken up, they can put you on a waiting list. They're also really good at contacting you if a spot opens up. Just act quickly because open spots can fill up fast. They do have a 24 hour notice cancelation policy, which is not uncommon. There are other doctors/dentists with similar policies.  Plus, they send out email/ text reminders about your appointments so you have no excuse for forgetting :)

A typical session for me (which may be different for you) included manual therapy, neuromechanical therapy, gait assessment, learning/practicing exercises... and the best part is that I'm seeing results. I can walk normally without pain and without the rest of my body compensating for my feet. Watching my first video of walking vs. my gait now the improvement is so obvious. For the first time in my life, I can actually see my scoliosis (which I've had since since childhood) improving. It's incredibly empowering to see that I can overcome this condition that I've just been coping with for most of life.

Dr. Justin Lin and Dr. Yvonne Huang have taken such great care of me over the past 3 years. They introduced me to Functional Manual Therapy, which is a specialized form of Physical Therapy that treats the body as one whole entity comprised of nerves, organs, and a lymphatic system that must all be in balance for optimal health, as opposed to just treating a specific injury (a symptom of a larger issue).  After 2 other failed attempts at renowned but traditional PT facilities, I came to Dr. Lin with what I believed to be a knee injury. He diagnosed me with a condition that neither an MRI nor an orthopedic surgeon could detect - torn ligaments above my knee cap, and all based on inspection with his bare hands!  After a few weeks of treatment and also using kinesiology tape applied by certified Dr. Huang, I was finally able to walk up and down stairs pain free - a feat I had not accomplished for over a year!  What began as a means to rid myself of a painful knee has blossomed into a lifelong friendship with everyone at Rehab and Revive, and also has expanded my knowledge and appreciation of FMT.  Since I suffer from an incurable chronic auto-immune disease, I often find myself getting injured over something as simple as sitting too long in a chair or forgetting to engage my core when lifting groceries out of my car. Dr. Lin has patiently taught me everything from correct office posture, driving posture, and even running posture - small changes that I can make in my daily life to prevent future injuries.  It's been a long journey to improving my quality of life, but it was all these small changes and baby steps that have made a world of difference.  I'm so grateful that Dr. Lin cares so much about his patients, and I know that he'll always push himself to help rehab and revive even the toughest of cases!  Thank you for changing my life for the better, R+!

I came to Dr. Lin initially due to a right hip injury. X-rays showed nothing was broken so I tried physical therapy at another location and the problem continued. So after a few minutes with Dr. Lin he told me my walking caused my hip problem. Apparently I flicked my knee when walking and did not use the correct muscles to walk on my right side thus causing my right hip to hurt. After relearning how to distribute my weight correctly and through physical therapy with Dr. Lin I left pain free. He is a miracle worker!!

Having suffered from extreme neck pain for many many years, I am so happy to have been referred to Dr. Lin! For my neck pain I had been to the ER and had a full work up, had diagnostic imaging performed, was evaluated by a neurologist, attended physical therapy, was treated by multiple chiropractors, wore a neck brace, paid outrageous amounts of money for special pillows to sleep at night... You name it I did it! Anything that would even remotely have a possibility of helping me relieve my neck pain, I tried it without avail. I would go to bed at night afraid to wake up in the morning in fear of waking up with more neck pain the following day. I was confined to my bed multiple days a week due to severe neck pain. I was referred to Dr. Lin by a friend and I am and will forever grateful for that. After just one visit,I had a noticeable improvement in my neck pain. Although it is a work in progress and requires keeping up on my exercises, I am almost entirely pain free and can live a "normal life" because of Dr. Lin and his nerve exercise magic! Dr. Lin is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, detail oriented, is patient, has an exceptional bedside manner, and listens to all my questions and concerns. Best of all, he breaks things down and explains things in ways that I can actually understand and relate to. I feel very comfortable talking to him and expressing my concerns. Additionally, the rest of the Rehab and Revive staff are very nice and friendly too! Facility is very clean, professional, neat, and modern. I would recommend Dr. Lin and his staff to all of my family and friends any day!
