HORROR STORY trying to book a room. Please read. Don’t stay here. 

Asked about booking a room, they offered me a discount. When I told them I was tax exempt, they said it would cost me $20 more to stay and I couldn’t have the discount, and told me to choose which I would prefer. I tried to explain that tax exemption isn’t a “discount,” it’s a legal right, and that I didn’t think it was legal to even do that. The manager told me “It’s $95, take it or go somewhere else.” When I calmly told him I would like to reserve the room, he said “you know what, no. You can go somewhere else.” I had been trying to find a room for thirty minutes, I asked if he was serious, he said yes. I told him that that was ridiculous and incredibly unprofessional, and that I would like to talk to the owner. His exact quote to me was “good luck FINDING the owner, you dumb mother f***er!” I hung up. I wasn’t going to listen to any more of that. 

Please do not stay here. Do not support an establishment that condones management like this. Do not take your children here. Do not book a room for your loved ones here. Let this place close down.

The hotel is in Manor, TX, in the middle of nowhere unless you have some business somewhere close by. I needed to be close to Austin Community College in Elgin. The place is a run down old two storey building without windows in the rooms. It smells mouldy. I thought all of this could be acceptable given the convenience of its location. However, once I got to my non-smoking room on the second floor, I realized that the ac has been blasting and there was no way to adjust it. It felt like I was going to freeze to death. After a few hours of sleep, I got up in the middle of the night and checked out. Went out and sat in the warmth of my car. I will never book a room in the middle of nowhere in Texas.

Rooms are pretty good. Big comfortable beds. Just always smells bad in the halls and the managers got 2 big dogs that will not leave you alone if your out side.

Comfortable Bed, But No Chair and Refrigerator + Shower/Bathroom Could Have Been Much Clearer.  Nevertheless, I will stay there again due to the Travelocity price.
