I was treated like a lower life form. The arrogance level from some employees was unbelievable. Not all.  Hiding behind a phone has been elevated to a new level. More time is devoted to find a way to deny you than what will help. People are treated like you're trying to rip off the system like the system rips off the people who really need help. Social Services have taught vampires everything they know. Lord knows, don't try to correct an error that SNAP makes. They are perfect. Just ask them. They'll tell you. "Private rent" is one of their better reasons to deny you. Ask for the meaning of that phase and prepare to get your head bit off. All I hope is that these people have to endure the hardship that many people experience. Try it,SNAP department. Go hungry. See what it's like.
