We had a VERY stressful experience with Resort Sitters during our long planned Vail Ski Vacation. I contacted Liz 2 months in advance to set up sitters for a 6 mo old, 9 mo old and 2 years old kids. She successfully confirmed my booking about 3 weeks before our trip with 2 sitters. Upon arrival the sitters were fine, but when we came to relieve them after a day of skiing one was very unprofessional about her personal life, asked for a tip, and left in a hurry indicating she had a medical condition and can't be around any sick babies and won't be back the next day. I stressed out for several hours and had to find a backup sitter on our own with another agency because Liz was unable to, and pay more than we would have with the original reservation. We paid over $1000 for babysitting that weekend and if Liz been upfront that one of her sitters has a condition and kept a backup in case we would have been in a better situation, but she left us with no sitter and no backup and almost ruined our vacation. I will never use Resort Sitters again! On the flip side we ended up getting another sitter with Care 4 Kids who was WONDERFUL and had the experience we expected with children our age. Will go with them next time.

We had reservations for Saturday afternoon with Resort Sitters over Valentine's day weekend. After getting caught in a snowstorm and I70 traffic for 3 hours on the way up (Friday), and missing our V-Day dinner reservations, we arrive at our hotel to find out that they've screwed up our reservations and we don't have a room. They've now closed I70 in both directions, all the hotel rooms are booked, and we can't find another room in all of Summit county for less than $500 a night (via Expedia). Having a baby in the car, and not having a room for the night, we were forced to head south through Breckenridge, over the pass into Southpark, and on to Colo Spgs (to my parents) in what turned out to be a 7 hour total drive. After arriving in Summit county Friday night, and immediately after finding out we didn't have a room, we called the babysitter directly to tell her that we were not going to be able to use her Saturday due to our circumstance. She (Marcia) was very understanding. However, later my wife called the owner, Tom, and explained our circumstance. She asked if we could apply our deposit to a reservation the following weekend, he said he was absolutely not willing to do that. He was very condescending and told her that she should have "read the fine print." My wife even asked if we could apply just half of the deposit to our next reservation, giving up the other half to him, and he still refused, saying it was not worth it to him. She asked if he was really willing to lose a repeat client over $40 (1/2 of an $80 deposit) and he still refused.
