A nonprofit home improvement store & donation center, the ReStore sells deeply discounted new & used furniture, building mat., & appliances to the public.
Please note that the ReStore is closed most Federal holidays as well as a week over Thanksgiving and from Christmas through New Year's to allow our staff and volunteers to enjoy time spent with family and friends. We also typically close on Wednesdays from January to March, resuming our normal Wed.-Sat. 9:30AM-4PM schedule in April.
ReStore POLICIES:
- Pricing—Prices are non-negotiable..
We make every effort to ensure that pricing is fair and consistent before merchandise is tagged. Age, wear, quality, and quantity are all factors used in determining pricing. Items are already priced to sell at 30-70% off retail. Proceeds benefit our home-building mission.
Intermittent mark-downs are made at regularly scheduled intervals (60 & 90 days) on furniture and appliances. We reserve the right to hold prices on new/like-new items, and ‘staple’ items such as paint, hardware, etc. Periodic sales are held on windows, doors, and cabinets.
- ALL Sales are FINAL*—Didn’t work out? Consider donating your purchase back to the store to receive a tax-deductible donation receipt. Exchanges are only possible for smaller, like items of equal value (e.g. hardware & electrical); items must be in original condition with receipt.
*30-Day Appliance & Electronics Return Policy (Excludes ‘as is’ items.)
We try to test all appliances, but occasionally there are things that we can’t test. If an appliance or an electronic item DOES NOT WORK/is defective, it may be returned within 30 business days from date of purchase for a full refund; original receipt required. [A refund check will be mailed out.] Defective meaning: It does not work as intended by the manufacturer. Returns for any other reason (e.g. does not fit, wrong size, wrong color, etc.) will not be accepted.
- Limited (7-day) Hold Time for Larger, Purchased Items
Don’t pass up a good deal, just because you can’t bring it home right away! The ReStore will hold larger item(s) for up to (7) seven business days with full payment so you can make transportation arrangements. The ReStore is not responsible for any damage that may occur to your item during this period.
We have very limited space, so we reserve the right to return items to the sales floor if they are not picked up within our stated policy limits. A store credit (less a 10% restocking/administrative fee) or a donation receipt for the value of the item may be issued at our discretion.
- Heavy Lifting & Vehicle (Un)Loading Policy—Please bring help & appropriate tie-downs, etc.
We love our ReStore staff and volunteers and don’t want to break them! Customers should bring their own help for loading item(s) into their vehicle if the items are over 50lbs., are glass, or are awkward in size and/or shape. We also cannot guarantee that we can provide assistance with (un)loading at times when we are busy or low staffed.
Please remember that we cannot be held responsible for any damage done to your vehicle during the loading, transportation or unloading of your purchase or donation. Customers and donors should take reasonable precautions to protect their vehicle during (un)loading, etc. The ReStore also cannot provide any assistance with the securing of loads to your vehicle.
- The ReStore does NOT offer deliveries. Please ask us about ideas for local rental options, etc.
