Our family have entrusted the services of Reynolds Funeral Home for over 20 years, however; the quality of customer service for the recent passing of our loved one was very disappointing, disrespectful, and deceiving. The visitation was supposed to start at 10 AM, and at 9:15 AM, there was no body for viewing. He was rushed in and not properly prepared, as makeup was being applied and the family was instructed to go have a seat somewhere because he wasn’t ready. There should have been some final touches added to the casket that were not added, like a skirt to cover up the bottom part pictured. If Dexter and his team had gotten things together earlier, these things would have not been missed to begin with. At the burial, the plot was not deep enough and the family had to bring to the attention of the funeral director. He immediately put it on the City of Decatur and that another plot could be purchased. That is not what the family had already paid for. Dexter is horrible, unprofessional, and doesn’t go the extra mile to accommodate the needs of the family. He talks down to you and doesn’t take accountability or responsibility for his actions. He should have made sure that the burial plot was deep enough and he should have said something. The family should not have called him out about it and he should not have been rude when questioned. First of all, it’s too much money and second of all, families are already grieving, the least that Dexter could have done was apologize to which he never did. I hope that the family will not use his services again in the future.
Mr. Dexter, Mrs Linda, Mrs April and all the staff at Reynolds’s Funeral Home really helped my sister and I with our mothers passing arrangements. Knowledgeable, courteous, caring, professional and affordable. I can’t remember the pastors name that spoke but he was great as well. I highly recommend this funeral home for anyone needing help with a friend or loved one that has passed.
My mother passed away and this funeral home was recommended by family from Alabama. They charge me 50 a deaf certificate than made a typo on it with a number in the zip code then Mr. Dexter told me months ago that he would file an amended death certificate and he didn't 6 months later I called today and he said now why would I file a amended death certificate because of a typo well Mr. Dexter let's start by saying because those death certificates was paid for and the information was written down for you correct and you got it wrong on my mother's death certificate not only am I filing a complaint I'm filing a civil suit for the death certificate at 50 a death certificate that's a problem
My Brother was indigent and very ill.. When he passed away in October 2019, I was beside myself.. This wonderful place was suggested to me and I thank the Lord I listened. Ron Cooper was treated with the respect and dignity all people should be awarded no matter their circumstances.. I was given the full services, mostly last min decisions, at affordable rates with wonderful props.. The chapel is beautiful and the facilities sparkling.. Thank You So Much fòr everything you have done for my family..
We just used Reynolds funeral home, It was for my son in law. They were understanding during the sudden loss of our Love one. The sweet receptionist gave me a big hug. I'll never forget her. Through heart breaking pain we felt Loved.

It's a very nice place if you can say that about a funeral home. It's centrally located on Milton st. in Decatur and the staff is very professional and friendly.
Always excellent service from dexter and his staff.was very pleased with the service I received for my grandmother and mother.
I lost 2 sisters within a 2 month period. The service our family received from Reynolds was to say the least OUT STANDING.
