I am not entirely sure why it has taken me so long to write a review but here it goes. About 4.5 years ago I brought my very young kitten in to this clinic. I was in college and not from this area and definitely should have done more research on other clinics before coming here. Not only is this clinic ridiculously overpriced ($400 for fixing a kitten?) but the treatment we received was a far cry from satisfactory. The receptionist was rude when I had clarification questions and Dr. Richman wouldn't spend more than 10 minutes with us. My cat, who was about 3 months at the time, would intermittently lay down and cry but was still able jump on the furniture without issue. Suspecting it was maybe an irritated muscle, we decided to give him injections and check back in a week. Needless to say he didn't get better. Upon an X-ray it was discovered that he had a fractured back hip. The options that Dr. Richman gave me? 1) He recommended a surgeon 2) if that didn't work out I could bring him back and get him put down. Well the surgeon estimated a price of 5k for surgery which I obviously couldn't afford at the time. Luckily Dr. Richman let me keep the X-ray so I could show others and try to "save me cost." (The only reason im giving 1 star instead of 0). I left and received another opinion from a vet back where I grew up. His opinion? It was an "old fracture" and it would heal on its own. He may have a limp but it wouldn't hurt him since he was so young and had so much growing to do. If I elected for surgery it would have cost me $800 but he assured me it wasn't necessary unless he developed increase in pain. Oh I also got my kitten fixed here and it cost $100 (as a comparison). I was in nursing school and was stressed for weeks and cried every day thinking I had to put my new family cat down bc he had a fractured hip. When in reality none of that was necessary! My cat Omar has a few other issues now but none of it is related to his hip! Otherwise he is a healthy, energetic 5 year old and also my vey best friend! I wouldn't trust this facility with another animal and I've definitely warned friends and family about it. I'm so grateful I had a second opinion bc I don't know where I would be without my little guy.

Appointment was a easy visit for my dog and they made sure he was OK. Great severice and staff.

Denise and I have been using Dr. Richman and the Richman Animal Clinic for nearly 25 years.  The care of our animals has always been outstanding and top notch.  He has treated every odd illness and injury with professionalism, been extremely thorough and has always provided the best medical care.  Dr. Richman prides himself on using the best cutting edge veterinary medicine and technology; treatments that are often not offered anywhere close to NE Ohio.  They always follow up often after there has been any incident or illness.  They make it a point to make sure we get in promptly no matter what time we call or when it is.  Dr. Richman and his staff have been there for us through three of our dogs having passed away and have given us plenty of time to say our goodbyes, as well as being there for us during those hard times.  They use a great facility for cremation and make sure everything is taken care of during those hard times.  Dr. Richman and his staff are like family to us.  We would not want to take our babies anywhere else!
