I really don't want to give a rating. What I want is to speak to someone who can explain to me why there is no concern for animal welfare from this organization. 

Roughly two weeks ago, my husband and I contacted the dispatch on a Saturday night because we witnessed a man stomping a cat. I understand that this organization is busy, and I also understand that, unfortunately, it is not standard for human needs to be met before the needs of animals. What I don't understand is why if the dispatch knows that officers don't plan to take the time to respond to such crimes, they can't just tell you "No, we can't help, but try calling [respective animal organization]." 

There were two juvenile cats stomped and beat on Merrick Drive by a man who lives in the neighborhood. There is only one cat now. The police were supposed to respond that night, but never showed up. I waited for over an hour on that street, in hopes of someone coming to handle this situation. Other residents of the area have witnessed this man doing this, as well.

 If the police department won't help, who are we supposed to contact? How many more animals will this maniac be allowed to murder?

The Richmond Police Department Is Made up of an amazing troop of officers.I have been stopped by several late at night and have always been treated very fair. Let them do their job tell them the truth and the RPD will assist you in any way they possible can! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK LADIES AND GENTLEMAN YOUR COMMUNITY SUPPORTS YOU!
