Great hotel. Don't believe all the reviews. Booked 2 rooms, 1 with 2 queen beds and 1 with king bed. Arrive on July 24 and checked out July 26.  Desk clerk was very polite in helping us checking in. Yes we arrived early than the 3:00 check in. They even let us get our rooms. But listen to this, they didn't have no more king bed rooms available. They gave me a suite with a king bed. Rooms where nice, air was blowing cold in the suite and the 2 queen bed room. The breakfast was very nice. My first time making waffles. The other 2 guest enjoyed the breakfast also. We liked the hotel because it was interior hallway, the hotel have different section. We enjoyed the balcony.  The staff was very good. Will stay here again when we're in lake cjales

star in this  price range...older hotel but was probably higher end in it's day judging from some of the styling features.  Room was a suite(maybe they all are or i just got a free upgrade)  full size fridge.  No stove but strangely a dishwasher. Sheets felt very clean.  Large flat screen tv.  I think the people giving 1 star are expecting the Hilton on a motel 6 budget.

My experience at the Richmond Suites was lovely. The room had an A/C unit that sounded more like a Harley with no muffler, which was pretty cool. The bathtub faucet wouldn't turn off, so the dripping made noise all night...but the loud A/C unit covered it up nicely. The room felt like it was rent-by-the-hour, and our neighbors certainly treated them that way by the sound of it. The curtain to the window wouldn't close all the way, but at least it faced the pool, which was pleasant. I think I witnessed a drug deal going down by that very pool, but fortunately, I didn't need any. Nice place. 😐

We checked in and immediately checked out to go stay down the street at the Comfort Suites.  Rooms were filthy (actual dirty footprints in the bathtub, bag of trash on the balcony) with odd holes in the walls and bare box springs??  The hallways smelled like cigarettes.  There were huge bags of trash just piled in the hall.  There was also barely any lighting in the stairways, which was a definite safety hazard for one member of our family.  There were folks just hanging out drinking in the parking lot, I assume drug dealers waiting on customers.  Not a nice place at all.  I am giving two stars, though, since they refunded me without any hassle.  The lady down the street at the Comfort Suites said they get people who initially booked at the Richmond all the time.

Photos don't do this place justice, much nicer than anticipated. Beds were great. Service is exceptional! Will defiantly stay here again.
