Our night at the Rico was one of our best memories from a five week trip out to the coast and back. The hotel is a fascinating historical structure and was very comfortable and very inexpensive. The food was beyond outstanding. We were going to skip the continental breakfast the next morning but after we had dinner in the Argentine the night before we HAD to stay, and it was worth it. What a distinct pleasure to be able to dine in such an intimate and quaint setting. I got a sneak peek at the owner/chef as he prepared dinner and it was such a treat to see someone of that level at work. A great place for those who don't want the same old-same old, and for those looking for something totally unpackaged, out-of-the-ordinary, memorable.

We stayed the last night of their 2012 summer/fall season. Our room was the apartment at the very top of the building, very nice, and an affordable rate for sure. But the food is nothing short of excellent, the major draw to this place. You'll pay a bit more than normal dinner fare ($20-46 per entree), but its absolutely wonderful.

Warm & cozy lobby and beautiful craftsmanship throughout. Staff was very friendly ... and the continental breakfast came right from their on-site 4-star restaurant! We stayed in the 3rd floor suite for $100 ... money ... well ... spent! Everything was perfect for an overnight getaway.

We went here for New Years Eve and it was great! Very good food, expensive but worth it. The rooms where nice and cosy and when we woke up there was a spectacular breakfast waiting from the grill in the great room!

The hotel was nice, clean, beautiful. The restaurant was absolutely delicious !!! I recommend it ! The only negative thing is that the owner is not really friendly.
