I have had a number of insurance agencies and agents over the years and as they say;  Insurance is only as good as your agent and the staff at the office. Erie has the best rate through my research, but Joel has been exceptional when dealing with a claim I had or working with me on review of my rates. I currently have my auto, home and life insurance with Joel and couldn't be happier.  I highly recommend Erie with Joel Riley and if that isn't enough... he offers a few creative incentives if you call for a quote. So try it. They follow up with claims, review rates and keep communication open over holidays and such. What more can a policy holder want than being appreciated for your business.

So, I called Riley Insurance for a quote. My house is structurally sound, secure with a high end security system, new roof, and it is well maintained structurally speaking, but was denied based on my back deck not being painted and my yard not looking as nice as my neighbors down the road. I am somewhat confused why they are acting like more of a H.O.A. than  an insurance company. I don't understand the risk factor of the side of my house not having flowers, but the fact that my house is safe, up to date all around, and they still wouldn't insure me has me mind boggled. I couldn't even get an answer to what i needed to do to fix what was needed to obtain it from their company....sounds like some discrimination to me.  "The outside around the house just needs some TLC" was the response.

We had an incident where our car was totaled (not our fault) and both Erie and Joel Riley's agency were very helpful in addressing a stressful situation in a calm and methodical manner. I can personally recommend working with the Riley Insurance Agency.
