It's a moderate hike of about a quarter-mile. That is if you drive back to the parking area. You should be aware that the trail to the parking area is not suited for most vehicles. There are a lot of humps that my Tahoe barely made it over. This is better suited for Jeep Wranglers or other 4X4 vehicles that have a short wheel base. Regardless plenty of people hiked all the way in from the road. Don't worry the reward is worth the hike. This may be the most beautiful spot I have ever seen in South Carolina and I travel all over the state and teach South Carolina history.

Amazing Place to visit. Some important facts ,Zero cell phone service once at the falls though.  If you have a car that's low to the ground, You will have to hike. Do not attempt to drive down to the last parking area!

Stunning waterfall. Great for families. Large pool at the base of a 15' falls that is 100' wide. Take a truck or SUV and you can drive down to a parking area, shaving 20 minutes or so off of your hike. The hike is not strenuous and the trail is clear, but not particularly enjoyable until you get close enough to hear the falls. There is a nice sandy beach, but I think I remember seeing signs that say no camping. For the more adventurous and non-claustrophobic, there is a secret tunnel that starts on the far left side of the falls and continues out to the heaviest part of the falls. It gets very tight towards the end, but the payoff is amazing. It is not easy to find though, and I really wouldn't recommend trying it unless you go with someone who has done it before. All in all a fun place to visit on a hot day, and considering its fairly close proximity to Brasstown, Yellow Branch, and Isaqueena Falls, a must-see for those who love to chase waterfalls.
