Rio Bravo Tacos and Tequila is a good restaurant in Black Rock Bridgeport if you are craving for authentic Mexican food. The food is absolutely delicious, and the vibe is nice and cozy, making it a great place to hang out with friends or family. The average cost per person is around $20-$30, which is reasonable considering the quality of food and the portion sizes. The menu features a variety of tacos, as well as other Mexican classics such as burritos, quesadillas, and nachos. Each dish is prepared with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and welcoming, with friendly staff and colorful decor that transports you to Mexico. The service is top-notch, and you can tell that the staff takes pride in their work. Overall, I recommend Rio Bravo Tacos and Tequila for anyone looking for an excellent Mexican dining experience. The food is fantastic, the vibe is great, and the prices are reasonable
This one is our go to place for Mexican food as we are vegetarian we used to eat only vegetarian items they don't have that much in menu but if you ask them they will make it for you. We ate veggie chimichanga and veggi enchiladas. Vegetarian options: They will make all things in vegetarian ask for Bombay chimichanga that was the best thing there.
Thursdays they do 5$ classic margaritas!! Chill place nothing crazy very comfortable
I’ve been seeing tons of reviews negatively reviewing Rio for a while now and I’ve been going here for years and figured I’d give my two cents. Rio bravo is the first establishment to keep this location going since the mid 90’s, the food is consistently good, and despite some questionable reviews I seldom ever see or hear unhappy customers during my visits. Rio Bravo is always packed, their waiters/waitresses don’t hover but are attentive and it’s everything you’d want out of a casual restaurant. I’ve found a lot of reviews expect top tier everything, and I can promise no other restaurant in the area offers the same experience for Mexican that Rio bravo does. It’s truly the best Mexican Fairfield has to offer. Parking: SO MANY SPOTS. They are directly adjacent to a large shopping plaza and is available for additional parking on busy days Kid-friendliness: THEY DO HAVE A KIDS MENU Wheelchair accessibility: NO STEPS! SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE IN WHEELCHAIRS, DOORS ARE ACCESSIBLE, BATHROOMS ARE WELL EQUIPPED, BOOTHS AND CHAIR TABLES AVAILABLE.
I've heard mixed reviews about this establishment, and upon arriving with my family and awaiting the arrival of others, our experience was less than satisfactory. The hostess seated us at two tables in the center, and regrettably, one of the tables was considerably wobbly, making it impossible for my children to comfortably tuck in their chairs or legs. Moreover, we found ourselves frequently bumped by new customers seated behind us. When the waitress attended to us, I explicitly conveyed our need for separate checks as we were anticipating a group arrival. She acknowledged this request. However, our initial disappointment continued when we ordered soda drinks that were noticeably underfilled and lacked the expected level of freshness and effervescence. The nice ambiance was marred by the presence of fruit flies. It was a discouraging factor that hindered our ability to relish fully the atmosphere. As our companions arrived, we commenced ordering our meals while nibbling on chips and salsa. Unfortunately, the salsa was diluted and devoid of flavor. Additionally, when our individual orders did arrive swiftly, my personal experience with the food was disappointing. The rice served with my tacos was noticeably cold and hardened, while the tacos themselves were cold and the meat unpleasantly chewy. Despite attempting to enjoy the slaw, my overall dining experience was far from satisfactory. Similarly, my child's ordered kid's cheeseburger arrived cold and absent of cheese. A considerate gentleman, not part of our serving staff, empathetically noticed my efforts to attract the waitress's attention, which proved futile due to her apparent busyness. He expressed his concern and offered to rectify the situation, but I declined to avoid causing disruption in the kitchen. He kindly did bring dessert for my kids. We did appreciate it. At the conclusion of our meal, when the waitress presented a single check despite our earlier request for separate bills, we opted to divide the payment using two separate cards. Moreover, an unexpected 20% gratuity was added, with no provision for an 18% option as I felt she deserved. Furthermore, additional charges were incurred for soda refills, contrary to the menu's explicit promise of complimentary soda refills only. The culmination of these instances led to embarrassment and disappointment. Consequently, neither I nor my accompanying party have any intention of returning to this establishment in the future.
Rio Bravo has always been my favorite Mexican spot until the tonight. I spent most of my night looking for my waitress that kept forgetting about our table. Terrible service did not even check on us once and ask if we needed anything. Our order was wrong we asked for shrimp without pork and it came with tons of pork. I ordered two steak tacos one taco had no steak at all only pork. I think the service was the worst part I don't think I'll be coming back. It seemed as though other tables were complaining to the manager as well. Not worth the time.
Nice ambience. Serving people are friendly. Owner / manager & serving people asking about your food. Food quality and quantity is also great. Definitely must recommendRecommended dishes
This is a great restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious. The fajitas are outstanding. The waiters and waitresses are very nice and they serve the food so quickly. I always have a great meal every time I go thereFood: 5/5
Went here after finding that the Westport one is shuttered. Nice spot, the lunch is cheaper but filling and we had a vegetarian enchilada and a papa rellena. The chips were warm and salsa had a kick Rio: in your salsa do you put Chipotle or something in the salsa? We were debating on the flavor. Really good.
Came around 9 pm on a Friday. Food was bland rice, birria had cinnamon in it and some tasted burnt chicken and steak were cooked too long. Salsas were good, and that is what helped the meal go down. Staff was very nice. Didn’t have any drinks. Nice presentation with the foods but the flavors weren’t thereFood: 3/5
