Rising Star first opened its doors in 1982, with just two classrooms and a vision to create a school that welcomes diversity and a commitment to the Montessori education. For 35 years we have provided a high-quality educational program.

Rising Star has been a great fit for our daughter and our family. Our child has done one year of preschool there and has recently started kindergarten at Rising Star High Street Campus. She is a very sensitive child and has done extremely well in their loving, structured, and supportive environment. She has excelled in all areas of learning. We are truly grateful to this organization for her wonderful experience.

We were looking for a culturally diverse, developmentally appropriate, accepting preschool experience for our daughter. She loves to learn and is very curious. We knew that Montessori schools could provide the type of environment we were looking for. We enrolled our daughter in Rising Star expecting a wonderful experience. Instead, after one month, our daughter was labeled a ''problem'' and was asked to leave the school. Her adjustment to the strict learning environment was criticized daily by the teachers and our daughter, who had NEVER had problems in other preschools before, started throwing tantrums in school. She was not the loving, curious child we knew. We were treated in a very unprofessional manner by the director of the school as we tried to work through the problems. As young, first time parents, we wish they could have worked with us instead of making us feel at fault and just kicking us out. We feel like what they advertised is not what you get and if you don't fit their system, you'll be asked to leave. Unhappy Parent
