Best Italian comfort food in the west suburbs. Nice wine list and full bar. The owner is always there and a nice guy.

My family went here for my birthday tonight and the service was so slow that I’m pretty sure they screwed something up and just wouldn’t admit to it. We were there for over an hour before we even got our soup and salad. We had two young children with us who were rightly getting impatient and when I asked if we could at least get their food, we still had to wait an additional 25 minutes for it. By the time we got our food, we had to rush to eat our food because it was nearly 9pm and we needed to get home to get our kids to bed. I had hoped to order a birthday dessert and celebrate my day a little, but I was too irritated and just wanted to get out of there. It kind of ruined my birthday, to be honest. When I mentioned the long wait to the staff, I was just given excuses like “well all the food is made to order” and “we don’t put your food order in until after you’ve completely finished your appetizers so you don’t feel rushed” and “some things just take longer to make.” Considering a couple who came in an hour after we did got their dinner within minutes of us, I didn’t buy a word. Just be honest when you screw something up instead of making excuses. Food was okay.
