The pharmacy staff are all exceptionally professional, helpful, and kind. After I moved to this town and began using this store for prescriptions a year ago, the pharmacy staff were soon greeting me by name when I went to pick up refills (perhaps because it is a small town, and I get nearly a dozens refills each month.) After a major remodeling of the interior, the organization of shelves, displays, and merchandise the store is much, much better. I would have rated the non-pharmacy portion of the store with 2 stars before, but now it is 5 stars. Based upon the date of the review, the other person who complained about poor service was there during the remodeling period, which was a bit chaotic because the store remained open during the entire remodeling which lasted several months. There were often extra people employed by the construction company who were brought in to move displays and shelves about. Not only were they not retail staff as the other person was informed, but the regular retail staff were also a stretched thin as they were restocking merchandize once a section was completed. They probably had difficulty telling the extra workers from customers who might need assistance, which was why the person didn't get noticed wanting help. Before the remodeling, the aisles all ran at odd angles around the store. A designer somewhere presumably thought this was interesting, but the reason it was novel was because it made it impossible to look down aisles to find things you were looking for. The new organization with traditional straight aisle makes shopping much easier. So that shoppers will make more unplanned impulse purchases, retail stores have long (dis)organized their layouts to force people to walk around the entire store to find the most commonly purchased items. The original maze in this store carried this idea beyond the breaking point, so that shoppers couldn't find the things they planned to purchase. I like that the store is in the "Goldilocks" size. It is big enough to have a good selection of the stuff you expect at a modern pharmacy, but it isn't so large you must hike a mile to get to the back to pick up a prescription a bottle of aspirin. I used to get really annoyed shopping the other 2 major chains, whose name I will omit, because I had to walk through endless miles of useless seasonal merchandise to find the basics of shampoo, toothpaste, bandaids, etc. Who buys 500 gallon inflatable swimming pool and patio furniture at their drug store? While getting milk and cereal, or soda and chips at the drugstore is handy sometimes when you're there for other items, when you need to buy an ace bandage for a sprained ankle or more personal OTC medications for other problems, a 50 mile hike around a SuperSized Store isn't what you want. This store is just big enough for what you want at the drugstore, and yet small enough to be quick and convenient for small purchases.

Waited at the cash register for a long time and no one came to check me out. I saw a lady stocking make up and I asked her if she knew who was working the register. She said she doesn't actually work there. Waited a couple more minutes then just left.
