Story

At River Daze Cafe we create quality, hand-crafted food featuring made-to-order sandwiches on our freshly baked, house-made breads. You can also enjoy small-plate breakfasts, organic soups and salads, and scratch-made treats for the sweet tooth. We proudly serve 10-speed coffee, Blue Bus kombucha and a variety of northwest microbrews on draft or in bottles to go. We are committed to supporting our local food community and using high-quality and organic ingredients.

The food was good. The service sucked. They lost my order, and when I stopped the server to ask about it, she thought I was joking. Why would I joke about not getting my food. Finally after complaining again, and an hour wait. They brought my sandwich. The comment was, "We thought it was a screw up." It definitely was that. I won't go back.

Excellent meal...excellent customer service. We came in after a long drive, arriving just minutes before they closed for the day. As they pulled things back out of the coolers, not once did they act put out that we were last-minute orders and we felt welcome to stay. The sandwiches were excellent, pastrami cooked well, custom order for my turkey melt sandwich was flawless. The bread...wow...the bread was so good I wanted more. I will be back to try their sourdough waffles as the prep cook and I were comparing notes on waffles throughout the northwest, and she agreed with many of my favorites but did say "I've got one that rivals the best we discussed..." Can't wait!

Their food was different from ordinary deli sandwiches. I had the ham sandwich with cheese, onions, and real avocado piled generously onto a freshly baked french roll. It was more like a burger than a sandwich. One of their unique specialties is the sourdough waffles with bacon and real maple syrup. Perfectly made! Above all, I enjoyed their cheerful service.

Amazing lunch today with my daughter who is getting ready to set out on her Peace Corps journey. This was my first visit....but definitely not my last. Affordable, healthy and delicious lunch! Loved the vibe!

Consistently delicious sourdough waffles and egg sandwiches for breakfast. Great prices and nice, relaxed local vibe.
