I was prepared for the worst- it was very hard to find the office, and the staff were rude at first. But Dr. Bartz was everything I could hope for in a doctor. She's very direct and to the point, which I personally like. I had just moved here and I don't have insurance, and she helped me with my medication and arranged it so that I would pay the lowest rate available. I really liked her presence, intelligence, and how helpful she was.

Don't be put off by Dr. Bartz' seemingly brusque manner; she speaks quickly and is very to-the-point, but I've also found her to be kind and surprisingly good at listening to what her patients have to say. I can tell she is intelligent and experienced, and if something is outside of her realm of expertise, she isn't shy about admitting it and suggesting you talk to a specialist instead - which I very much prefer, since that means I can trust her to know what she's talking about otherwise. Honest, concise, but she always makes me feel like I am in very good hands, and she is easy to work with. The staff is always efficient and friendly. I have never had such a good doctor experience and I don't ever intend to go anywhere else as long as I live in Austin!

These people are not honest. I called ahead to schedule an appointment. I told them I had no insurance and had to pay out of pocket and needed to know exactly how much a visit would cost. They told me $95. A few weeks later I get a bill stating I owe $250 more. They couldn't explain to me why I owed more other than some doctors charge more. Not what I was told originally, and also pretty dubious. When I complained they send me straight to collections, even before 90 days, which is not only unethical but vindictive. The front end people are real jerks and this practice is not trustworthy in my opinion. Go somewhere else.
