The park Is very big and spectacularly maintained. I’ve Been using this park for over 10 years. The people are friendly and at some point you’ll see the regulars. I’ve seen all sorts of beautiful wildlife and once a bobcat walked about 10 feet from me. We stared each other down for about 2 minutes and it went on it’s way. On two separate occasions, while distracted on my device, I’ve almost stepped on what I think were copperheads sunning themselves on the path. There are plenty of snakes, tarantulas, rabbits etc. In certain parts, the trees form canopies to keep you cool; an oasis in the summer. This is a great gem in Arlington. Be respectful of the wildlife and the rules of the park. Also, the park is rumored to be haunted!

Beautiful, natural setting. Lots of bicycle traffic, which is fine but detracts a bit from the quiet stroll you may be envisioning. Still, it's a fabulous green space. Word of caution: the river bank is very slippery--my son almost wound up in the water.

This park is fantastic for many reasons they have main trials that run all around the huge park with markers to let you know how far you've run and the pathways are color coded for so you know which path you're on. The park it self is huge you can run for Miles and not run into anybody great if you need to get away from everything.

My favorite park in the area. It's huge so there isn't a such thing as "too crowded", full of nature and wildlife. I've seen Bob cats, armadillos, lots and lots of butterflies, red robins etc. Biking trails are plentiful and so are picnic tables for family bbq's and open fields for working out, reading a book or having a private picnic. A great place for relaxation, meditation and even yoga.

River Legacy Parks has a long and amazing history for those who take the time to read the Texas historical marker and study up on some of the history online and in FACT there apparently was a murder there in the late seventies for by a homeless man and in addition to THAT, are supposedly paranormal activity INCLUDING a place called HELLS gate... But besides all that for you nature lovers it has 2 entrances and a HUGE amount of square acres, probably a couple of square miles I'm guessing, and anything AND everything you could want to see is there in fact... If you haven't been yet it's hard for the kids is great for working out is great for couples to sit in a car chat look at scenery and has many a thing for every type of person and everything you one cluding the science center that they have as well!!!!! DONT MISS THIS !!!
