We found this place after our later game was over. It was one of the few places that was serving food after 10pm. I like the layout and it was clean with plenty of space and lots of TV's. The staff we dealt with were very nice and attentive. They seemed to be all younger staff, but honestly the girl who helped us did a great job. The food was really good after our appetizer we all ended up getting tacos and they were also very good. If we're back in the area we will be back.
None of the items seemed to be a big hit with our table. We ordered the following: Cheese curds pictured Fried pickles pictured- definitely not a fan from our table 2 Nashville Chicken sandwiches A steak sandwich A Cuban sandwich pictured Various beer and drinks. I thought it was ok; I believe my table were not fans. The server was nice. One thing I did dislike for cheese curds and fried pickles was the super small portion of the ranch. The smallest portion of dipping ranch for any app I ever received in any restaurant. It was just ok, our first time going there.
We have eaten here many times, and food and service is always top notch! So, when I'm looking for a venue for my son's surprise party, I took a look at River Street. AM I EVER GLAD I DID! First off, they were the ONLY place that returned my call. Aggravating yes, but not after experiencing River Street's hospitality! This is my first choice go-to from now on! My party planner was on top of everything thank you, Becca!. Very accommodating, even when I changed things last minute! The food was FANTASTIC no surprise there and our bartender really knew her stuff thank you, Hannah!!!! Prices were very reasonable too! Overall, a great experience! My son had a wonderful party and everyone had a great time! THANK YOU RIVER STREET TAVERN!!!
We've hosted two parties in their loft space in the past year and both went great. Amazing service and delicious food. Such a beautiful space too. Becca made the planning and booking process so easy! It's now the first place I think of when anyone asks for local spaces.
Overall good service and food is not bad, the vibes are different and not as welcoming as you would like. The inside layout is typical of an old street tavern. Long bar with bathroom in the back opposite the kitchen. The beer selection seems good, a few sours, iPas and drafts, plus your normal bottle and cans. Burgers, wings, and surprisingly tasty tacos, heard good things on the tacos. Burger is ok and wings even the buffalo has a spicy sauce on it. But overall good. The location is very convenient for a walks, bicycle or plenty of parking too. It is just on the edge of the actual river with many other bars, taverns, eateries and Dairy Queen. I had heard many good things and expectations were high. Staff was good and present. Looking forward to return and improve the score if possible.
My first time here was a great experience overall. I ordered the Ancho Espresso Rubbed Steak and fries. The fries were absolutely amazing and the steak had great flavor and seasoning, but was overcooked and therefore tough. I ordered it medium and it came out medium well/well done. Tina, one of the owners, could not have been more pleasant and understanding. I'm eager to come back and try more things on the menu! Oh, and the brownie was delish.
Good food. Nice atmosphere. Good wait staff. Everything we have eaten here has been good quality and fresh. Al Pastor tacos and French fries here are recommended as they are very good, while some other items like the farmhouse burger are masterfully constructed but come to the table in need of one liquid condiment to complete its perfection not a bad thing, i just recommend adding a light layer of bbq sauce to make it exceptional or maybe a light mayo or steak sauce. Whatever your preference on burgers that adds moisture to each bite.. The wings here are just ok, I don't recommend them. They are overpriced and while they do offer both sauces and dry rubs which I find myself overjoyed to find a good variety of dry rub wings anywhere usually, the dry rub spices cover the wings very lightly and the spices themselves were nothing short of bland. My friends and I found them in need of heaps more volume of spice plus i would recommend still even adding salt as well to satisfy... the wing crispiness of the dry rub variety is spot on though. Some of the menu items are fun to read, but I would never dare to order like a burger with 6 patties and the special sauce is simple called Animal Sauce. With that said, I believe there are many amazing dishes on the menu to delight your taste buds with. The bar drinks and daily specials can be inspiring. You can tell the chef here truly cares about creating unique and specialized food that is absolutely worth trying.
Can't say enough about this place. Kyle D. was our bartender/server because we like sitting at the bar. Kyle always has a great attitude and seems to love his job. As with all the staff they pay attention to your needs. Amazing food and service. We will keep going back there.Food: 5/5
Always fast and family friendly. Clean place great atmosphere and ample seating. The burgers are top notch.
Downgrading because I hate QR codes. How hard is it to print out a beer menu? If you can't afford a piece of paper, what other short cuts is river Street tavern taking to cut costs? Food is ok. Service is good, If your willing to wait for someone explain what drinks they have. Would have rated 4 stars if they weren't to cheap to print a beer list.
