Great venue... we attended Ribfest and thought it was very nice and a very good bandstand. Had a good time.

Pokémon Go has two gyms and five Pokestops here, so it's a very nice spot for trainers to go and walk around in almost any weather. Good spawns, including occasional rares and water types down by the river's edge.

There are covered picnic tables, a children's playground, nice views of the river and the city at its edge, ample parking, clean and warm public restrooms open during the day, and even a bike tool stand for cyclists to use with an air pump and all the most commonly needed bicycle repair tools. The blacktop-paved Minnesota River Trail skirts around the Park's edges, and it's quite nice to get away, howsowever briefly, from the incessant noise and agressive drivers of downtown and Old Town Mankato.

Would be considerably better if it weren't almost constantly under rennovation, and apparently exempt from enforcement of city and state noise ordinances. Depending when you visit, and which way the wind's blowing, there may sometimes be nearly overwhelming noxious fumes from industrial installations in the area. There are nonetheless some rather nice events held here.

We used the shelter to have a picnic lunch. Great view of the river. Everything seemed very well kept. Nice equipment for kids to play on, but nothing for smaller kids. It also had very nice bathrooms and a drinking fountain.

My favorite park. So many great events in the summer! Also the Mankato Piece is a fond memory for growing up in Kato so I love seeing it.

I Love the park... but I feel like they should have separate port a potties for men and women. They get really disgusting! Also the soap and water ran out very early on at Ribfest. Great vendors, food was so good!
