Nine acres of river front property. 20 sites with additional area for tents. 8 long term sites available. Bath house open May through the end of Oct. depending on the weather. Campground open year round. Bring your swim suits, tubes and fishing rods. We're close to most things you want to see or do.

Owner was very helpful and nice, she met us at the gate and even helped back into our site. Park is very quiet and right on a beautiful creek. There were only a handful of campers so we had plenty of space and privacy. Only stayed for 2 nights, was perfect for our short stay. Overall the place is a little worn down, bathroom building and some of the permanent RVs are pretty dumpy looking. Might get tight if all sites are full but spots are all nice and level. Very nice folks.

Stayed here in a Motorhome. Level sites. Full hook ups. Convenient to the best of NC mountains. Park bath house is very dirty and poorly maintained. I would have to be self contained to stay here. A bit of an attitude seemed to be present with the owner but wife and adult son quite nice.

Riverhouse Acres RV Park lies almost hidden in scenic nature near Canton, NC. The park is far enough from cities and freeways to provide a peaceful respite, yet close enough to all the activities you want to do, such as Asheville, Maggie Valley, the Biltmore, many gorgeous waterfalls, and plenty of grocery and restaurant options. There's a calming view of the Pigeon River across from the camping sites. Also, there's a bathhouse available for your bathroom and showering needs should you need it. Owners Barbara and Steve were excellent hosts from the moment we arrived, helping us back our RV into the spot to avoid becoming one of the horror stories of run over power stands or sewer lines. They assisted us with receiving packages and invited us to pick from their berry bushes that were in season. Their adult son who lives on the premises was also very friendly as well, as were the other guests we met during our stay. We were at Riverhouse Acres RV Park for four months and had nothing but a great time. Unlike a lot of RV parks, there aren't that many rules to follow, and they're fairly common sense. If you respect the park area and the hosts, you shouldn't have any issues and I believe you'll have a great time there as well. Thanks again to Barbara and Steve for having us. We stayed here in a 27" motorhome.

If you're looking for KOA with KOA amenities (and price) then this isn't it. I got what I paid for which was campsite with RV hookups and a bathroom and showers. Granted, the showers were a tiny bit unkempt but someone mentioned to the owner and he cleaned it right up. The owner is a little finicky about using the trash can in the restrooms and prefers you use the (overflowing) trash in the "greenhouse" but that's my only complaint. It was literally the first time I've camped in a VERY long time where drunk idiots didn't keep me up all night. If you don't want to spend a ton of money and like to actually sleep at night then this is a fine little place.

That type of owner response from a customers complaint speaks volumes! Its the tipical response when a customer did little to nothing and the owner made a big deal out of it and obviously can wait to catch ppl doing something minor so they micro manage the campground in my opinion.so in a nutshell repeat customers are important to a buisness so I suggest that to the owners as one complaint can cost u lots of customers that read these complaints and how the owners response is HUGE and it was very negative in my opinion to be honest!we all know ppl do stupid stuff so be real and as long as they didnt disturb other campers is whats extremely important all other rules should be dealt with in a nice manner as long as it's not on going lol
