From the outside it doesn't look like much, but inside it's very charming. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. There are three hot pools in the building that are private and have doors that lock. The restaurant in the hotel is nice. The food was delicious, though the portions were a little small. The building has been renovated but still retains it's original style. I would recommend it to anyone and would definitely go again.

A quaint, comfortable place to stay with kind, accommodating staff. Restaurant downstairs is outstanding - reservations required. And, as bonus: 3 hot spring baths on site. Building has some miles on it, while staff seemed actively working on improving. Appreciated hospitality. Thank you.

We stayed here for a night; it was a good place. The room was small, clean and cozy. The bathroom, however, was big and seemed newly renovated.  The pillows were not my favorite. If you prefer fluffy pillows, I would recommend to bring your own.

The private mineral baths were very relaxing and nice. However, the 3rd bathhouse was missing ceiling tiles. In the outdoor bath the jets sadly did not work, but it was extremly rejuvenating; especially with it snowing outside. It made for a great view and a relaxing time.

Upon arrival and giving payment information; we were charged $150 more than what we were quoted via phone and email confirmation. Even though it was frustrating, the gentleman (Richard) at the front desk did what he could to help. He was very kind and understanding.

The breakfast was okay. There wasn’t anything special.

The massages were wonderful and extremely relaxing. I enjoyed that we had a 30 minuet “soak” before receiving the message. This made the message more relaxing and far more enjoyable.

 I believe that one of The Riverside Inn’s policies focuses on smaller children. This makes for a quiet stay, and an unirupted nights rest.

Ultimately, it was a great stay with wonderful employees. We hope to have another opportunity to stay at the wonderful Riverside Inn in at Lava Hot Springs, ID.

Old hotel with all the old charm. Best place to stay in Lava because the hot springs are in private rooms and one outside, restaurant and massages are all on site. You really never have to leave. Very relaxing getaway. We loved it and won't stay anywhere else when we visit. Great staff and location if you do want to walk main street.

After a wonderful stay back in February we decided, once more, to book another room at the Riverside Inn. The room was wonderful but the shining star is Alonso!! He is a master at what he does and is extremely personable (we could’ve stayed all night in the bar sampling his cocktail creations!) 

Honestly, we don’t know why one would stay elsewhere. The history, rooms, staff, private soaks, food and drinks are unbeatable. 

We were hesitant to leave a good review in fear that this gem would be discovered by more people. 😉
