Went to the store on Friday (5-12-17), to return a desk that was too small for my office. Prior to going, I called the store over a week and spoke with Lynn the( salesperson), asking her if she could find a larger desk for me and I will return the one i purchased. She agreed to find a larger desk., but I never received a phone from her. With that being said I returned the desk. Now, we goes to the office and Lynn says, this is Synchrony Bank, and the David Nelson, mgr., will have to issued the refund back to my card. David tells her , he can give me a store credit, not acceptable, or the receipt will be ready this afternoon or Saturday. I insisted on getting a receipt, he then wrote a handwritten receipt and left the date off of it, and called him out on it. I guess he felt pretty stupid or something. ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME? THERE'S NOTHING ON MY RECEIPT THAT STATES I CAN NOT RETURN THE DESK, ONLY IF IT WAS A SPECIAL ORDER. David started pacing the floor and stated he need to take his blood pressure medicine. In all fairness, I don't believe David knew how to to do the return transaction. I him David and Lynn, I will not shop at this store again. To ALL FRIENDS AND FAMILY, we deserve better than this, and we can do better, the customer service there needs help. Liz S.

Went in today looking for a lamp found exactly what I wanted. Also found an accent table perfect for a small space . Both sales people were very helpful. We will go back when we need new living room furniture.

If I could make it Minus any stars I would. Never to do business with that company again (Riverview Galleries). Purchased in good faith two top of the line Lazy Boy Power Recliners paid in full Dec 1, 2015. On February 5th this fly by night delivery company called West End Express (WEE) that Riverview uses, finally delivered my recliners. One of them did not work as they were POWER recliners. Chair had to go back to North Carolina & problem (I guess was rectified) Don't really know as I never took delivery on it. I was notified by WEE that they were going finally deliver it on Sunday, April 3. April 1 they called & said there was no room on their truck and it would be sometime during the week of the 11th!!! I knew that wasn't true as it took them from the 3rd week in February to April 3rd to fill their truck for a delivery to NH. Riverview gave me a credit on the chair that was still at WEE. I called a local Lazy Boy retailer on Saturday, April 2 and the chair was delivered to my home April 6. Imagine that, in 3 business days the chair was in my home! Oh sure, Riverview only charged me for one set of head & arm covers--not good enough. He should have found a reliable delivery service & followed up on the delivery process. (that is what a good business person should have done). After all I paid Riverview and he had my money since Dec 2, 2015. Terrible customer service and NOT WORTH the aggravation of saving a few hundred dollars and DEFINITELY NOT WORTH using that delivery company--they stalled delivery for weeks. As to those of you who had a good experience with Riverview & West End Express, you must be local but for those of us who live in other parts of the U.S. ,(BUYER BEWARE)

The sales experience was good and the delivery was prompt. However, I ended up deciding the expensive piece I'd purchased didn't exactly fit my need and when I called to inquire their return policy their salesman seemed incredulous that I would even think that they had one. When I explained what I bought wasn't suiting my needs he asked his manager who then repeated: no returns. I don't know if this is common practice in the furniture industry, but considering most beds you can return within a month or two it seems very strict. It also was at no point explained to me that they had a no return policy, and if I had known that I think I would have shopped elsewhere rather than risking such a major purpose on something I wasn't sure would suit my needs.

Riverview Galleries is one of the best kept secrets in the triangle in our opinion. On the pieces we ordered they were very price competitive with stores like La-z-boy and Sears (Chinese furniture with poor reviews). The people at Riverview are knowledgable and patient and a real pleasure to work with. The store location was perfect for us in North Durham. We were pleasantly surprised by the low pressure approach and helpful guidance provided by the staff there. The manager, David, is particularly helpful. Give it a chance, you will be glad that you did, we certainly were. If you custom order furniture be prepared for long delivery times but be prepared for a huge smile when you get your delivery. Long delivery times are not unusual in the industry I believe and is something that Riverview cannot control. They will give you fair warning that it can take about 8 weeks to get delivery. Their video says 8-10 weeks. After reviewing many different brands we purchased Bradington Young leather furniture (sight unseen) because it is highly rated and an American Drew dining set. We are VERY pleased with both products. Bradington Young leather furniture is exquisite and put together extremely well (In America) with amazing attention to detail. The wait is worth it, believe us. We will likely use Riverview again, they have good people and they take better care of you than the large chains who are not very flexible and tend to have their furniture made overseas. We're glad we stayed with American built furniture. The quality and workmanship is really excellent. We are extremely happy with the pieces. This is the first time in 40 years we have elected to buy the best that we can afford. We were not disappointed. The after sales experience with Riverview Galleries was impressive. We elected to upgrade the lighting in our china cabinet and Riverview immediately assisted us by putting us in touch with the appropriate manufacturers. We received new hardware the same week. Hats off to Riverview and our heartfelt thanks for a superb deal and first class support.
