Story

Owned and operated by David Colombo, the Roadhouse Cafe, in the heart of Hyannis, is one of Cape Cod’s premiere restaurants with regular recognition coming from Boston Magazine, Cape Cod Life and the Phantom Gourmet among others. We’re open daily, year-round, beginning at 4:00 PM with early bird specials served until 6:00 PM.

The key to the Roadhouse Cafe’s longevity has been to consistently provide exceptional food and service in a classic-meets-casual, clubby atmosphere. Throughout the Roadhouse Cafe’s four dining rooms you’ll find an extensive collection of antiques, much of it with a local connection, complemented by warm woods and oriental rugs.

In the lounge, dominated by a custom-made mahogany bar, one of our two wood-burning fireplaces crackles all winter long. The BackDoor Bistro, our newest space, is anchored by a piano bar. Pull up a chair and listen to our piano soloist on weekends or plan on enjoying the renowned Monday Night Jazz Ensemble all year long. In the summer months, we add to the entertainment with live music five nights a week.

Our menu offers everything from native seafood dishes, such as cioppino and blackened swordfish, to Italian specialties and pasta dishes, and a variety of choice steaks. If you’re looking for a lighter bite, look no further than our Bistro where we offer salads, sandwiches and thin-crust gourmet pizzas in addition to our full dinner menu. A carefully culled wine list, 20 of which are available by the glass, and nearly 30 beer selections round it all out. House-made desserts, espresso and cappuccino are the perfect ending to a perfect evening at the Roadhouse Cafe.
