Dr. Robert Rooney earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from The University of New Orleans and his dental degree from L.S.U. School of Dentistry. Upon completion of his dental degree, he completed two years of advanced specialty training in Prosthodontics from L.S.U. School of Dentistry.


Dr. Rooney is a trained specialist in Prosthodontics recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA) in replacement and restoration of teeth.


Prosthodontists are highly trained in techniques and procedures for treating many diverse and complex dental conditions and restoring optimum function and esthetics. These include: crowns, bridges, complete and removable partial dentures and dental implant restoration. Dr. Rooney maintains a Family Dental Practice with emphasis on Cosmetic, Implant, and Reconstructive dentistry.

Dr. Rooney is a recognized specialist in prosthodontics, a specialty of dentistry which deals with the restoration and replacement of teeth and implant reconstruction.

Visiting with Doctor Rob was a positive experience for me. I say this in regards to the manner in which I was received and attended to. That is to say, I am a transgendered woman and the world, at large, is not as receptive to my lifestyle as was my experience with Rob.He was both kind, helpful and very much considerate to me as a patient and as a woman, I present myself as being. Not to express my thanks but for he to extend himself to broaden his understanding of my experiences. Thank-you for that. It has been a most affirming and gratifying time. This shall be extended to his staff as they have exhibit the same qualities of care and respect. A genuine professional experience. My family and I have been patients of Dr. Rooney for over 15 years. He and his staff are so kind and professional. They offer painless and excellent care. Totally recommend them. Dr. Rooney is without a doubt the best dentist we have ever been to. Definitely 5 stars.

Been many times. The staff are friendly and do good work. I went with my girlfriend to another dentist facility/factory I won't name, but it rhymes with Louisiana Dental Hair, out of fear we couldn't afford Rooney (or another Dentist I have been to) for the amount of work she (and as it turned out I needed). Furthermore, I was also having a cavity driving me crazy at the same time so we both went there on the same day and time. To keep it simple go to Yelp and read their reviews for some insight into their methods and so forth. We should have went to Rooney and at least got an evaluation. I know him and his staff would have known what exactly to do and nothing unessasary and not been treated as a number.

Dr. Rooney is a near perfect combination of the professional and personal. He is a second to none dental professional that has proven to have all of the knowledge, experience and technology to address all of my dental needs; from routine cleanings to crowns to even snoring apparatus. He and his staff never fail to go out of their way to be pleasant and helpful; almost making going to the dentist something to look forward to. I drive over 30 miles, past scores of other dentist offices, to go to Dr. Rooney and intend to continue to do so.

My wife and I have used Dr. Rooney for several Years, and is the best dentist we have ever been to. He has had advanced training on artificial teeth, and it really shows in his work. After many hours in dentists' chairs, I have concluded that the difference between a good dentist and a great one is touch. Dr. Rooney has touch in spades.
