I make weighted blankets, collars and lap pads. I also make fidgets, bean bags and other items to help children on the Autism Spectrum.
Both my boys, now teens, are on the spectrum. When we started occupational therapy, I discovered a real need here in ABQ for weighted blankets at a reasonable price. Since I sew, I started making them. Their therapist also let me know about weighted collars, lap pads and other items that can help children on the spectrum so, I started Autism Spectrum Resource. I understand what some parents are going through as they deal with their children day by day and my desire is to help in whatever way that I can.
