My biggest issue with this place is they do not honor the prices advertised nor do they have any signage that they have raised their prices, so be aware of that fact when they ring you up. I understand inflation is a pain BUT business should at least post signage of their price increase if their not able to quickly change the prices on their menus. Not impressed with this place at all. Came for fresh sliced cheese and was given precut cheese maybe it was cut fresh before I came in but I’m not sure, and since I was there I decided to order an eggplant parmigiano. I don’t know if they didn’t toast the bread properly or if their sauce is watered down but it quickly soaked into my bread and made it fall apart quickly upon eating it when I got home less than 10 mins later. The taste was okay but nothing special and I couldn’t but through the eggplant so it just kept coming out in large pieces as I tried to eat it. I finally gave up with my fall apart sub and just tossed it in the trash. I may come back to try their other sandwiches and give this place another chance since it has such stellar reviews, maybe it was just the cook that happened to be there that day, not sure. Seems like a nice little spot and decently clean, but the area designated for meats and cheese isn’t well put together, stuff is just thrown in and not labeled correctly. Not sure who owns this place but they need to check up on it and do something about updating the prices and making sure their workers are maintaining the place properly.
This place is awesome! I definitely will be going back. I ordered the hot sliced pork with rapini and provolone, which is something I probably would've never ordered had I not seen the picture someone posted. I was torn between that and Park Ave. I was greeted by super friendly service from Steve, and he let me sample the pork and rapini to make sure I like it. I wish I would've taken a picture of how it looked when I pulled it apart ... The thick provolone strings looked amazing! Very lean and juicy. I really like the greens used in it. I never had anything like it! I'm going back for the Hell's Kitchen this week; that's their best seller.... Although that pork sammy was aaaamazing!! You can really taste the quality. Definitely not your average sandwich and beyond place
Well first time here from Riverside. The beautiful cashier suggested the hell's kitchen so I say why not. Mmmmm good. The potato salad also good. This is a classic spot for lunch when I'm looking for something good to help me out with daily stresses of life. Thank you for your delicious foods Mr Rocco's deli italiano
Omg best little place around. Wish they had one un Newport beach. I had the turkey pesto cheese lettuce tomato with basil and a vinaigrette dressing drizzled over it... fantastic..... it really is food taken rt out of ny. I spent time there when based as a flight attendant.... Please expand out to newport. Lol
The owner was super friendly. Free meatballs for newbies. We ordered the Cheesesteak which was one of the best we've had out here on the west coast.
Prices on takeout menu and menu in the place are all lower than what they actually charge. No sign or anything mentioned about a change in price. Also, charged a 10% inflation fee which is fine if they had mentioned it but again, they didn't. False advertising. Will not be returning sandwiches good though
I'm relatively new to the area from Philadelphia and I stopped here on a whim. I got the roast pork and broccoli rabe sandwich which is also a Philadelphia staple. I couldn't have been happier the sandwich was on point! the meat was super tender the bread was very soft and the broccoli rabe tasted amazing. I'll definitely be back!!
I just wish they knew how to make pasta la vodka. Their version consists of marinara sauceFood: 2/5
Rocco is a true east coast ITALIAN who definitely takes pride in his establishment. I now consider him a good friend . Thank you Rocco for your prayers for my family
The spaghetti and meatballs were delicious, those were definitely the best meatballs I’ve ever had! I’m so glad my friend recommended Rocco’s and I’ll be back!
