Definitely a rock n rolled themed restaurant from the decor, lights, music and menus. The service was great the food was ok. We really weren’t that excited about all the deep fried and cream cheese in the majority of the menu items. It was as if Sushi had a makeover by a Southern kitchen! If you are craving a fresh and light meal this would not be the place for you. The dessert options say it all Fried Brownie or Fried Cheesecake!
The concept of the restaurant is something I have not seen before. It combines loud old school rock music along with lights and TVs playing old rock videos with sushi. I found the restaurant clean, but the music was a little too loud. They turned it down after a little bit, so I think they are still ironing things out as it was a new place. The food is good, but not spectacular. Prices were reasonable and portion sizes were good. If I had to knock anything, it would be the service. The server was eager to help when we sat down, but once we got our food, she was pretty much gone. We need drink refills and she was nowhere to flag down. I will note that another server saw our empty cups and asked if we needed refills and she got them for us. All in all, I think if I would go back, I would give it some time to iron out all the kinks.
This is such a fun place! We had the VIP Roll and the Crowd Surfer, forgot to take a picture of the Tuna Tataki and we will def be back! Rolls were tasty, service was attentive and quick, and paying our tab was easy. We didn’t have any drinks but I like the fact that they have a bar with options versus BYOB. Overall, for sure worth a visit if you’re in the area!
Awesome space and good vibes! The server, Andrea, was super sweet and helpful. The menu is rock’n’roll themed and Andrea pointed out the classics and favorites. It’s big enough to not be crowded but small enough to not get ignored lol
Really great food, and a really enjoyable atmosphere. Classic rock at just the right level to still allow easy conversation, comfortable booths, slick decor gator skin textured wallpaper!, and some very friendly waitstaff. I had the hibachi chicken, and my partner got the shrimp tempura roll, and both were excellent. The manager I assume that's his role stopped by to chat after our meal, and he was super nice. He also explained that they're apparently going to be expanding and adding a patio and all kinds of cool stuff, as well as extending their hours to midnight on the weekends!. I'm definitely looking forward to experiencing it when it's ready!
Here is what I didn't like about them- 1. They try to be friendly but the service is poor. Waited an hour plus to get 3 rolls of sushi! 2. The sushi rice was old and didn't taste fresh. The same goes for the rest of the ingredients. 3. Really poor presentation, the rolls were just falling apart. 4. The ambiance is weird, it just doesn't make sense to me, if you are selling sushi it should feel authentic, have some elements of Japanese culture even if it's Japanese Rock. 5. Overall, you can buy a sushi of better quality, without waiting and for almost half the price from a grocery store.
This is the new Sushi place in the neighborhood and it worth the visit, we have enjoyed our dinner there, the place is clean and decorated well. The rolls were tasty and fresh, you should really try the Punk Rock Roll and the Unplugged. Even the checkout process is really smooth and you get the handheld device to pay your bill and send it as a digital copy instead of printout. I really likes this place and it we will visit it so many more times.
We could walk, that's how close we are. Came here Thursday or Friday around 6. It was awesome. Atmosphere was great. Crowd came in around 7? Server was quick. Manager ? Swung by and said they made an extra wonton plate, would we like it? OH YEAH!! Will come by and eat those again! Going to try their happy hour next time. Also their rewards program is super awesome. I think after x amounts of points you get $20 off your next check. So YES.
My friends took me to Rock ‘n roll sushi for my birthday and I was treated so well! Drinks, sushi and cheesecake were fantastic! Can’t wait to come back with my family… everything was tasty and they will love it. Great vibe too!
New sushi spot here in the neighborhood. They sent a promo flier in the mail. Their menu is a more modern take and not the traditional version most would expect. Tasted great and I will be back. My server... Ty ?? was friendly and fun
