My buddy and I arrived after 10pm on Thursday, Aug 3rd on our motorcycles. We have never stayed here before but it was a convenient location and a half way point headed home. The office was closed, there were no maps of the campsite areas, so I did a loop trying to locate the tent sites. With no luck my buddy decided to ask someone sitting outside of their RV for directions. They pointed out the site was in the far back, so we headed there after dropping the fee into the door. We found the site but it had a sign stating the tent camping area is closed. We were tired, it was late, we had already dropped the money in the door so we decided to set up camp and leave at first light. Just as we were about to turn in, two headlights show up and two sheriffs step out. The "locals" called them saying there were "6" guys running around and causing trouble. Supposedly the group of us were crawling around under campers and running amok. It hasn't even been an hour since we arrived and setup our tent and had a small fire going. Both of us sitting at the table exhausted from riding over 2000 miles, ready for some sleep. They didn't ask us to leave but did explain this was a tight knit community of people. Not very welcoming of strangers. I was very upset and wasn't going to be bullied out of there, but we decided that it was not worth not having a decent sleep over pride. So after having arrived for about 2 hours we packed up and left. Money and time wasted due to ignorant people. Tried calling the office the next morning but no one answered. Didn't bother leaving them a message, I'm over it.

We were here during the winter (March break) and the park was almost empty. Very friendly owner although we showed up at 1030pm and the office was closed and they simply said "slide your $25 into the mail slot and go setup". We had a site with water, sewers and 30 amps. It was large and mostly sand. It is a forest setting. There is a pool (closed when we were there) and a pond. Farm animals in the field beside the campground. Very natural forest setting and no real landscaping at the sites. It was a quick in and out stay but seemed like a very quiet park.

Heading down 95, it was late and we needed to stop. Found this little gem not far off the interstate. The area was nice. Pulled in, picked a site, and left our $25 at the door. Bathrooms were clean and nice water pressure. Would stop here again.

Stayed only for a night but the staff was very kind and helpful. Quiet, clean and near the I95 at a more than reasonable rate!
