Love this little cafe!  They are literally out in the middle of teeny Chatham, MI, so call ahead to make sure they are open. They do their best to serve local ingredients when available and make real food from scratch!  This is so very rare for this size town!  Keep in mind that the availability of seasonal food and the size of the customer base might cause certain items to become sold out, but rest assured that is because you are getting high quality fresh ingredients!  Yum!

What a delightful surprise this little restaurant was!  We were with a party of 5 after a trek to the Ice Caves.  We all had different entrees for lunch and there was consensus that everyone said their meal was delicious.  Best chili I've ever had and my husband said the potato soup was the best.  Someone else said the portabella mushroom sandwhich was fabulous.  Service was wonderful - polite and attentive.  Our vegan friends were able to have choices that they were pleased with.  Interesting spices, food tasted fresh, loved that many of the ingredients were local and organic. Wish the restaurant was closer to Marquette, but it's an easy drive

Tried the Cheddar Cheese Burger with Potato Salad. The meal was overpriced at almost $10. The potato salad was actually good, and you could tell it was 'gourmet' and not store bought, but it was too large of a portion and the burger was quite tiny, and it was TERRIBLE. Oh and it came with a can of soda. The outside of the place is historic and nice. The inside looked clean, but nothing special..the decor and tableware were kinda 'chinsy'.

Great little place outside of Munising. The fresh grilled whitefish sandwich and chili was excellent! Highly recommend!
