Was so impressed with my server, Althea, tonight. She was so upbeat and positive and seemed to really have good knowledge of her products. She did a great job of maneuvering around the big crowd and got our drinks back to us quickly. Definitely will want to come back in the future to see her smiling face!

Fun atmosphere . Comfortable seating on the patio where you can hear conversation and the music at the same time. Lighting over the bar is awesome. Conveniently located near the Genuine Ice Cream company.

My boyfriend and I are visiting Bozeman for the first time and happened to walk into the Rocking R bar last night. Our bartender Charlie was super friendly and attentive. We decided to close out to explore some of the other late night spots and literally were blatantly ignored by the bartenders at two other places. I’ve worked in restaurants for 17 years, so obviously have a soft spot and give the benefit of the doubt, however, it was clear that on a slower night Monday that most places have no interest in serving tourists over regulars. We ended up going back to Rocking R where Charlie once again took great care of us and had a great attitude. The other places left a bad taste in our mouths, however, Charlie was a breath of fresh air and saved our first Bozeman experience. Also, had a lot of fun playing pool and darts! Would highly recommend!

Seems to be a college bar with ridiculously loud music and bartenders that don't seem to even pay attention to new customers.. Stopped in on a Thursday 1/12/23 I couldn't even get a drink I stood at the bar and was ignored. Was looking to have a fun time and spend money locally but ended up walking out.

Fun college bar.  Pretty busy when we arrived, found a place to sit at the bar.  Drinks and food were good

I like the bar and location.  Inside is nice with plenty of TVs and pool tables.   Nice patio also. The bartenders are nice but really slow.  It’s as if this is their first job ever.  We waited a while to order and the food took long considering the place wasn’t very busy.  The door guy brought us the food.  And we needed napkins, ketchup, & silverware so he got that as well because the bartender was talking, flirting, working that tip on the other side of the bar.  We got totally ghosted by all the bartenders.  I was waiting patiently for another drink but my food was spicy and my drink was empty so I had to shout at the bartenders to come over  maybe the manager should help the bartenders out or train them to be more attentive to ALL customers.

Upon arrival on a bestie trip to Montana first time in this great state! we decided to walk around the downtown area before going out to our house rental and have a drink.  Rocking R had a nice open vibe and was not too crowded on a Thursday mid-day so we locked in on this bar.  We ordered a couple of local craft beers, some pretzel bites and fried pickles.  The starters were good, the beer tasty and cold.  My friend ordered the flight which then came with a pint of whatever one she liked best.  Our server was super sweet, friendly and attentive.  Oh and the bathrooms were clean extra points!

Great atmosphere,  we sat outside. Server was super busy. Good food. Ordered jalapeño poppers as appetizer and apparently they got lost,  second order came when we were done with lunch. They took them off the bill. I had coconut shrimp and fries which was really good..

Grandma and I came to eat lunch here today after a nice walk through down town. It had great food and the boozy milkshakeI got the rootbeer was so good! Their elk burger was great!

Any action on this request?  Thanks!  Would love to buy a hat online.  When I was on site you had numerous fitted caps.  Online you only have it in white.  Any way I could buy different colors?  Thanks!
