The after party for the wedding I was at wound up being here. The hotel was beautiful and wedding was amazing... Here's the "but", the bartender they have employed, Sean, was the rudest person I have ever had the unfortunate opportunity to be around. That one man, managed to ruin many people's nights and was the entire conversation at breakfast. I will not be returning to Rod's for the sole reason of the experience with Sean.

Had the early dinner special and was very pleased with the quality of food and service for $30 per person. Will definitely do it again.

I just struggled through probably the worst Negroni of my entire life. As a service industry professional, I order simple things that are, quick, simple, and hard to mess up. I ordered this benchmark of a classic cocktail and watched the bartender not only use an incorrect ingredient (tonic water), but leave out a crucial ingredient (sweet vermouth). I absolutely don't expect every bartender to know how to make every cocktail that there is, but I do expect the correct cocktail when I receive "of course" as a reply to my order. For the record, Jean, a Negroni is equal parts gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth. All, usually, an ounce. Served with an orange twist, not lemon. Also, "in and out" means that you should rinse the glass with whatever the customer requests. Not to pour it into your shaker... Stick to wine, beer, and spirits on the rocks here, folks.

This place has a classic, "old school" vibe...some might say boring or stuffy. Sitting in the train car was the best part as well as our waitress. I don't know her name but I believe she was Austrian. Loved her. I also loved the food served in copper All-Clad pots...but it's really the food that needs help. It really needs some creative updating. More pizazz, more flavor. You can still serve classics while modernizing them.

Staff was attentive, but many did not speak good English. Food was just "OK", nothing great or worth praise.
