I have lived near this place for years and never tried it. Was pleasantly surprised at the size of the the seating area. Nice and roomy. The food was good however I wish they had listed that the fish and shrimp tacos were not battered and fried. A little too fishy for my liking but still very flavorful. The asada quesadilla was amazing. All the tacos come without toppings so you can add as much or as little toppings you want.
One of our favorite new tacos! We found this place today for a snack, and went back for dinner it was soooo good. I swear they are using lard in the beans and the crunchy tacos are killer! As is the salsas. Wheelchair accessibility: Ground door and only the parking curb as a restriction.
I had never seen or heard of Rods but I gave it a shot. The young lady who took my order was very friendly and the food was good. I had fish, shrimp, and asada tacos.Food: 4/5
Was one of my favorite spots in the valley. However I went in to order and a customer came to order. The cashier turned them away saying they closed at 7pm. I told the cashier that all their signage AND Yelp, Google maps etc says they close at 8pm not 7pm. She then caught an attitude and was extremely rude. Very unprofessional. Unfortunately I’ve gone here for years and will not be returning.
We've ordered from here A bunch of times in the past and it has always been very good. They must have changed their cook because this is definitely not a "steak" enchilada! Makes me wonder if their carne asada tacos are shredded beef as well LOL. They also put carrots in their shredded beef taquitos. So apparently they make one batch of meat and put it in every one of their menu items. SMH.
We were very impressed when walked into Rods. It was very well decorated and very clean. It being family owned, I was comfortable walking in. And the young lady who took our order was very friendly and helpful. We ordered asada and chicken tacos. The chicken was very good, while the asada was just ordinary. Good, but cooked on the safe side which results in plain and dry. Not much flavor. Impressive enough to go back again, but I think we'll try the pastor next time or just stick with the chicken.
I got severe food posioning from asada and carnitas tacos there that lasted 5 days!! Spent time in the ER at my time and expense. Do not eat here!!!Food: 1/5
The worst taco's I've ever had the chicken was like ground chicken and the asada had huge chunks of fat I'm sorry I wasted my money there definitely do not recommend ...Food: 1/5
Rod's carne asada tacos are amazing with the red sauce and pico de gallo. I been to this location before this whole pandemic and I really enjoyed it. My girlfriend loves their shrimp tacos, I order one for myself but she ate it before I could try it. So fast forward to today, I decided to do a pick order. I got 6 shrimps taco and 2 carne asada taco. I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes so I left right away to go get it. There was barely anyone there and many parking spot. I checked in and my order was ready. The sad part was that there was no pico de gallo this time . But the carne asada taco was still good, I didn't really like the shrimp taco.
I just stopped in for the first time today. Great old school Cal/Mex style walk up counter with lots of indoor seating. The place is very clean and the employee the served me was friendly and knowledgeable. I had super delicious enchiladas, the sauce has a great flavor and they were packed with cheese, YUM!
