Story

Rodd Grand Yarmouth Hotel is conveniently located on Main Street, in the downtown core of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.

This full-service, 3 1/2 star hotel boasts 132 large guestrooms, each with the modern amenities you would expect to find. Our six family suites include two rooms with two queens in one room and a pull out sofa in the other, as well as two bathrooms, two mini-fridges and two tvs.

Many of our guestrooms have beautiful views of the Yarmouth Waterfront, an excellent sample of Nova Scotia’s breathtaking scenery. For our guests’ added pleasure, they will also enjoy our fully-equipped fitness centre with nautilus equipment, indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna.

Gales Eatery is located just off the main lobby of the hotel.

Great location in downtown Yarmouth. The hotel is a bit dated but my room appeared to have recently had a refresher and was perfectly nice and comfortable for a night's stay on business. The bathroom was clean but worn with the shower wall tiles in desparate need of re-grouting. I noted a pool and gym in the facility which is a nice feature though I didn't use them during my stay.

The bed was comfy, the price was right... But the place was under construction so I had to park across the main drag as opposed to the hotel lot. Construction was reported to begin at 8, but began at 7 instead... Immediately outside and under my room. I booked a King bed, but upon arrival was told one was not available. The lounge was lifeless... But, the staff was nice and quite helpful. The breakfast was good... The place will surely be much better after the construction ends!

Awesome view overlooking the water from my room. Rooms could use microwaves but I believe they are available upon request. The lounge has a good Clubhouse sandwich, which is a sign that everything else is probably pretty good. Good spot.

Overall a solid hotel. Parking is available and staff are nice. The rooms are clean and fairly spacious. The interior decor is overall pleasing. The location is very good being close the centre of town. Price is a bit expensive considering breakfast wasn't included. The only thing is that some more effort should be put into upkeep. There were some minor but present wall scratches or damaged ceiling that had simply been painted over. A bit more effort and I would give it 5 stars.

Best of what is available. Very convenient for those arriving on the ferry. Friendly staff. Slightly dated bathrooms and facility. Easy walk to downtown cafes, restaurants, and shops.
