Rodef Sholom Temple Sisterhood is located in Newport News, VA, and serves the women of the Peninsula Conservative Jewish community.

Story

We are part of the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism (WLCJ), the largest synagogue based women’s organization in the world. As an active arm of the Conservative/Masorti Movement, WLCJ provides services to 700 affiliated women’s groups in synagogues across North America. This network links 120,000 women in 25 Branches (regions), together with groups in Israel, Great Britain and South America.

Through our volunteer programs and projects geared toward education, religious observance, Israel, and public policy and advocacy, expand your knowledge and commitment to Judaism, participate in contemporary issues, and support Jewish ideals worldwide.

This is an absolutely dishonest synagogue. I had to report them to the IRS for not following the regulations documented in the code of a 501c3. They are fraudulent and misrepresent what is intended in the code written to protect "religious" institutions from federal taxation. I am indifferent to who runs or authorizes this organization. They purposely did not return 1700.00 to me, although the request was made in writing and verbally. I recommend that before you make decisions that are regulated by the Federal government, make sure you consult an attorney. That is to them. I now have the legal rights to make sure that every business and professional network and connection that I have knows that this is a scam. I have the documentation, and will work with the federal government to push for an audit of their financial transactions. I understand the "code" that it can be considered a "donation" to a 501c 3, and if they choose, they assume they do not have to return this. Assume. I know judges outside of that small, misinformed area. I ensure you--not only will you pay me back, but after this much effort to recover something I clearly said no to--by the time you finish making restitution--you will truly regret that from fiscal point of view. I am going to make sure that the Federal government becomes aware that political Judiasm has not right to collect funds under the guise of teaching religious education. You will begin paying taxes by the time I am finished. You are an embarrassment to taxpayers. You rob people like the police, teachers, EMT's and people who earn an average salary, the honest way. I know of no judge, within his right mind that will side against his own police department, in favor or support of any religion that knowingly defrauds people. I will be in Newport News on purpose just to put in a police report. I am not a conspiracy theorist, but just in case you plan on playing the race card--as uneducated people tend to do. This is economic, not racial. You need a lawyer in your synagogue that is licensed to actually practice--someone with common sense. You can delete my review--here, only. MInd that. I am smart enough to leave documentation--everywhere. You lack the sensibility to know how to defend yourself in court, aside from depending on emotional reasoning and persuasion. I will contact an attorney from Washington, D.C., with a license to practice in VA. You are going to be famous for being the dumbest people who can not use a calculator. Oh don't say that--that is "anti-semitic" and "harassing" you. Any judge will tell you--harassment? Do you have something that belongs to her?? Then give it back and stop wasting people's time. I will leave this anywhere I feel like it. anywhere. I will also make sure I over-document with e Federal government, just in case you try to make a case for discrimination. You waste tax dollars. Waste it, and do not pay them. You are a sin in America. How embarrassing that you think you are entitled, because of your ethnicity. That is a shame. Ruth Bader Ginsburg fought to secure your rights at a Federal level. Uneducated people like you--undo all of that work. Way to go.
