Such a great setting. The cottages are right in Clearlake. Many of them face the lake. The surroundings are serene dispite all of the weekend festivities that were going on. There was wine tasting, many of the wines were from local wineries which was great. And there must have been a fishing tournament. So many boats on the lake. The mountains in the background and the blue skies highlighted it all. It was definitely hot weather but the natives didn't seem to mind. The cottage itself was so fine. Very clean. All the amenities you could possibly need were provided. Saved a little money by preparing my own meals at the cottage. The staff and crew were extremely friendly and courteous. I hole heatedly recommend this place.

For a motel, it is pretty good for what it is, just don't expect it to be like the Hyatt Regency. Service was solid at the front desk and they allowed us to check in a later time than usual without being snobby about it. The room was a little bit run down but it was clean for the most part. Microwave and fridge were provided, which is a plus considering some hotels don't even provide one. Bed and pillows were on the very soft side, bed sheet had some faint markings on it but looked to be from the very past. The surrounding area was okay. I'd stay here again if I was around the area and on a budget. The value is definitely there!

Nice location. Rooms were relatively clean with the exception of the floors- they turned our feet black just by walking on them. Would stay again.
