I love going here and just jumping into the ice cold water. Swimming up the river against the current and letting it carry me back down. It's great when you swim up a bit and run into some manatees they swim right up to you and let you pet them. There is a bridge there that some of the people jump off but I would be careful with that because the kayak shop owner calls the cops so what started out as fun could end up no so fun anymore. As mentioned there is a kayak shop right there and next to it is a restraunt with indoor and outdoor seating if you like. I haven't eaten there so I don't know what the prices are like but the kayaks prices aren't bad.

We have been going here for years and always have a great time. You can swim at rogers park or go canoeing down the river to buccaneer bay where the springs are. Gentle giant manatees everywhere, dolphins and lots of fish.

White not deep sand beach which is nice for the kids. Not many places to sit or park, so get there early. Volleyball nets and small park for kids very nice. The weeki wachee River is beautiful but this section can get dirty fast. Not many large boats going by, but kayaks rental pick up there large number of people here. Swimming area is small which is great for children. All in all it's a decent place to stay.

Great place to take your kids, you can bring a boat or kayak go up or down the river, over all great place

Beautiful spot to swim.  Way too many people.  Its a mad house!
