Great place for challah, bagels and baked goods.  I wish the pletzel wasn't so bready.

My co-op only gets their challah and bagels so I cannot speak about the pastries.  Both are better than all other bakeries in Phila area, IMHO.  The bagels are handmade with the usual flavors.  I love that they are lumpy and irregularly shaped because they are hand made.  They have an old-fashioned chew, not like the fluffy bagels so popular today.  I usually get the whole wheat because I have gotten used to a nuttier flavor.  The challah comes plain, raisin, and whole wheat.  I find challah at other bakeries too dry.  Rollings challah has a wonderful taste (whole wheat for me) and is moist.  Makes great french toast, too.

The best bagels in the Philadelphia area; a destination bagel shop.  The bakery is so small that only one or two customers can be in the shop at once.  The bakery is known for their bagels and outshine modest offerings of sweet rolls and cakes.  The bake shop follows the Jewish calendar for holy days off/on.

Whoa, their chocolate-filled hamantaschen are perfect. The taste reminds me of a brownie, but not cloyingly sweet. Their poppy filling is good, too!
