I went there hoping to find an outfit for an  Oktoberfest  event / Halloween. When asked to try on I was then asked if I planned on buying that day... taken aback I said possibly. I had no clue if I would since I had yet to try on. Had I found the right item or something I love clearly I would take it on the spot. I was basically told I couldn't try on unless I planned on getting something because they were still setting up for Halloween and stocking up. From what I'm aware this is a year round store and I was shocked at how I was treated. I was so excited that they had an outfit I was looking for and couldn't find in two stores before that but how I was treated makes me not want to return to try it on

I found this place by pure happenstance.  What this store lacks in physical size it makes up for in quality and density.  The shelves are lined with quality products including several illusions as well as a fine selection of masks and other props. (Including some very neat looking replica weapons and theater costuming)

When I walked in the front door I was immediately greeted.  A short while thereafter, I was treated to a demonstration of a popular product that they sell by another member of the staff.  At no point did I feel pressured to buy anything, and the pitch was purely conversational.

I was frankly pleasantly surprised and impressed by what I saw.

This place is the embodiment of what sets the smart small business of today apart from today's larger stores: personality, quality, and a personal touch.  It's been a long time since I've actually felt like a valued customer at a place of business.

The store had a large selection of costumes and the staff was very helpful but the manager/owner? was a cantankerous man who was  very demeaning to his staff. The cashier was very efficient and friendly but the manager found fault where none existed.
