Wonderfully relaxing. Super comfortable cabin - close proximity (30 minutes-ish) to many, many breathtaking expeditions.
Owners Rick and Jane are very friendly and knowledgeable of places to see and where to go to make the most of your vacation.
On-site restaurant has a nice menu with wide variety of choices.
The restaurant is open Wed-Sun. 
Actual Grocery store located about 40 minutes away, so be prepared for that.
Super beautiful resort. Happy to have found it. We will be back.

Nice facility but that's about it, the owner Rick is a complete ass and runs the place as if it were a boot camp. Check out is supposed to be at 11 but morning of he said be out by 10, we wanted to go fishing for a while and he said it was fine to park in an open lot as long as we were done with our room, so apparently because the room wasn't as clean as we found it once we were done (cause I guess when you stay at a hotel you need to bring a vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies) he decided to call us out on the lake and threaten to have our vehicle towed if we did not leave immediately.....we have been repeat customers of the root cellar for years and every year it gets worse (how many bars do you know that will have a full bar of people at 10 at night and kick everyone out because it's closing time...lol ya a joke) so needless to say we will never be back.

GREAT experience!!  Wonderful rooms and the food was also very good, it must have been as we went there for 5 nights in a row!!  Prime rib was good, wings were good, salad bar was good, and even the chicken strips were good.  We are going back to stay for the next two weekends!!  Great hosts!!!

Only had a beer. Thought they were rude. I've heard the food is good but we didn't stay.
