Steak was overdone came out well when asked for medium rare and had the texture of dog kibble, everything for the baked potato sour cream and butter came in tubes and foil, vegetable medley was pretty much squash with a piece of broccoli and one green bean. Sat in front of dirty dishes waiting for the bill for over 15 minutes, even with my hand raised trying to flag server down. Horribly overpriced food and the atmosphere is something more like a ghetto IHOP than a steak house. Won't revisit. Too bad can't get a refund or rate it zero stars. Only redeeming quality was the staff. They were friendly! Oh yeah and the food came out fast but that's not hard to do with cheap quality "food". Find another place.
Went in to the Annual Cajun Crawfish festival. The gator that my husband got was way overcooked and dry. My medium rare steak tips were well done. And my beer was warm. Food was way overpriced especially for the diner atmosphere and plastic silverware that i was given to eat my steak with. We are locals and will never go back. If you want excellent food and great service, look elsewhere.
We did not have steak but the Indian taco was not bad. The service in my area wasn't good at all. We sat for 15 minutes before I got our own menus. Asked for service, and never got drinks refilled, and food took a long time to get out.
1st time here on Saturday. Great service and yummy steak tips. We often get into Sturgis before 4pm and can never get a steak cooked for us. These people will cook you a steak whenever! And they raise their own beef! We will be back
Music playing was great. Only one waitress, but she did a good job. I ordered a French dip with fries. My husband ordered a southwestern chicken fajita sandwich with fries. Waited around 20 minutes for food, even though the other folks that were waiting had already been served. When our food came out, the French fries tasted like fried shrimp, and my sandwich was falling apart due to the meat being shaved and not sliced. My husband had ordered jalepeños with his sandwich, which he didn't get and we had to ask for them. We could only taste the bell peppers on his sandwich and not the chicken. I HIGHLY recommend using separate fryers for seafood and other fried products.
This was my dinner stop after a full day on the motorcycle also note my stop here was a few weeks after the rally. The server was friendly and prompt, and the food was fast, well prepared and had great taste. The steak tips, fries and salad were all great. I thought the price was definetely fair, for the level of service and the quality of the product. The restaurant was easy to find, and looks to have a prime sturgis rally location. The parking seems to be sparse for the amount of available seating. The outdoor seating seems like it would be thee place to sit during the rally.
Update...to respond back to the owner/ wife ect... we were rude?? I ate my overdone steak. We left short of paying for the ONE OVERDONE RUINED STEAK that was not eaten by my husband. To the total of 30 bucks. I have never in my 43 years of life been treated like you treat people in your "family owned" establishment. We were specifically told there was no owner or manager in house when we asked to speak to someone to discus why the meal was not taken off the bill. So make up your mind. We are not the only bad review or review talking about how steaks were cooked or how we were treated. This is the only bad review I have ever written on google. Loving life here. Sorry you are not. You are also welcome to Google how a medium rare steak is to look... I assure you "your way of cooking" it is NOT proper. Good day to you. If I could give zero stars I would. Sent our "steaks " back that were overcooked. Came back out still not right. No manager, no owner around. Bill came out with the steaks still on it. After questioning it, we were told that "her boss" wouldn't let us take it off. Horrible food, horrible service and no one to take care of problems. Another server confirmed there was no owner or manager on sight . Pick another option.
This was once the best place in town to eat. Now only open for the rally it has limited menu with 3 times the price. 35.00 for a 10 ounce chewy grass feed steak, Yuck,, the portions are small. The place is dirty, the restrooms are nasty the food stock is old .PUKE. Service was bad and slow. We will never go back. WE ALL NEED TO STOP GOING TO THE PLACES THAT OVER CHARGE US IN STURGIS !!
Wish it was possible to respond to reviews. Review by "Holly", please see this. There were 4 steaks cooked for you and your husband, by the owner of the restaurant. We apologize it was not to your guys' liking, but that is how our MR Steaks are. You're welcome for taking the time during a busy night to recook your steaks. The server also was the manager/owner, the owners wife. Your other server that night was the owners daughter. They do everything they can to please their customers. Her husband was a complete jerk, as was she and they didn't pay for their meal. They were short $57 and ran away when approached by the owners wife, which the waitress whom is a full-time college student had to pay for that out of her own pocket. They handled the situation very poorly when the owners and waitress did their absolute best and were still polite no matter how rude they were. By far the most disrespectful couple to have ever came into this family owned restaurant. People who are not able to be respectful but can go on google and write a poor review are poor excuses for a "man"/ "woman". Also, take into consideration that if the food is bad, it is not the server/waitresses fault. They only deliver the food. So please, ladies and gentlemen, don't believe everything a "google review" says because, believe me, it won't be the entire story. These people have nothing better to do than complain and hate life. Thank you, rant over.
My wife and I wanted to try out roscoz in sturgis to find out they are kinda high priced for the amount of food you actually get. my fries tasted like they were cooked in grease used for other fried food no seperation. the fries were also maybe a small fry size from mcdonalds and the food was really bland.i ordered the south western chicken fajita sandwich.and my wife had ordered the French dip sandwich and fries they were the same as mine in every way small and other food flavored .her sandwich fell apart and she had ran out of aujus sauce.having to ask for more again no flavor...not like her first sauce that came with her meal. knowing it had just opened for the season, you'd like to think they might learn from reviews like these. I'm not saying don't eat there, I just hope that they get better.
