A lovely oasis in Oceanside, we ate in the outside arena and had a delicious lunch. The beer selection was fairly extensive. I enjoyed a hazy IPA. We had a vegan in our midst, who got a plate full of toasted veggies and a "side" salad of substantial portion. Other son had a seafood spaghetti which disappeared with alacrity. Mama enjoyed the soup and salad, and my fish Tacos were wonderful, with a really delicious frijole refrito and salsa. Service was great; checking in frequently and keeping the water flowing. Great reggae playing softly in the background. I wish we lived closer! Recommended for the family!
This place absolutely knows what they are doing with brussel sprouts, they are so good so good we didn't get a picture! We also had the garlic noodles with katsu, which I hoped would just never end. The live music made it a perfect place to have a date night. There's a good variety of beer on tap, and the sangria I had red was light and refreshing. We highly recommend stopping in when you're in the neighborhood.
I have no idea if they had a different cook or what in the world happened, but I went about a month ago and the food was good, portions were nice. The service did take over an hour but the good food made it worth the while. On this second visit, I was beyond disappointed. I won’t return. The wait time was 1hr and 30 mins for our food. Ordered the same thing as last time but the portion was not even half of what it was the first time. Our appetizer took 40 mins and was burnt. This staff said they were serving 3 restaurants from one kitchen so that’s why they took forever. The waitress never checked up on us or offered us more drinks. Overall, I was super bummed with the food quality, portion and service time. The first visit I ordered the bacon carbonara. You can see in the photo that it was big and beautiful. The photo with the single plate was my second visit. They looked like two completely different dishes. I’m kinda bummed this second visit was such a bad experience because I really liked the food the last time. I wouldn’t give them another chance.
It was nice that they were open to accommodating my gluten allergy celiac, and I enjoyed the Shrimp & Grits, although they were very very rich. My friend enjoyed a pasta dish. The service was good. It's too bad they don't mark "gluten friendly" items on the menu. I do appreciate that they promised to take precautions to avoid cross-contamination, because I've been living with celiac disease for almost 20 years, and it's really nice when I can enjoy a nice meal out with friends. Dietary restrictions: They did accommodate my gluten allergy and stated they would take precautions to prevent cross-contamination. Nothing was marked on the menu as gf or gluten-friendly. I had shrimp & Grits, which is naturally gf, and they confirmed it to be gf.
Fantastic from start to finish. Service was excellent. Drinks were yummy. Food was absolutely delicious. We tried the sangria, empanadas, croquetas, and drunken noodles. All of it was perfect.Food: 5/5
Met Joshua the owner and head chef, he's super nice. Excellent food! Found our new favorite restaurant when we visit Oceanside. Great to park a bit up the street from the beach and just walk around town.Food: 5/5
Nice gem. We stopped in recently and were pleasantly surprised. They have sushi and beats on Monday nights and it was so fun for my tweens! Wonderful friendly atmosphere and good food, reasonably priced,Food: 4/5
Our server was very nice! The patio had a good vibe to it. I ordered the Juicy Lucy burger w/o bun. The presentation was great, but the $23 burger was just "ok." I've had better burgers that were not as expensive. Also, I was shocked to discover that they charged for soft drink refills. I don't live in the area, but I will skip this restaurant the next time I visit Oceanside.
The fried dumplings were tasty. The mains took forever to come out and were very disappointing when they finally did. The garlic noodles with chicken were really bland. Ate what we could as we were so hungry. The fried rice and beef was ok. Would not recommend and would not return. The waiting staff were friendly, but it was a very dull vibe in the restaurant.
I ran into the owner of Rosewood at Booze Brothers Brewery next door. Spoke to him about a subpar first time experience having ramen in ATL. He encouraged me to try his new birria ramen with brisket. Looking for culinary redemption I gave it a shot and oh wow. Easily one of the best plates bowl of food I've had since finding pho for the first time. Just the right spice level, brisket fork tender, the added nopales were a perfect foil to the rich broth .... Damn it was good. Likely a regular deal for me now. Bravo Rosewood. Bravo.
