The 120 members of the Roslyn Highlands Volunteer Fire Co. provide fire protection and emergency services to the villages of Roslyn Heights, East Hills, Flower Hill, Greenvale, North Hills, Brookville, Old Westbury, Roslyn, and Roslyn Estates.
The preservation and protection of live and property as provided by the laws of the Roslyn Highlands Hook and Ladder, Engine and Hose Co., Inc. and the laws of the State of New York; To foster interest in all matters pertaining to the volunteer fire service and the welfare of the Volunteer Firefighter; To inculcate love of country, good citizenship, civic virtue, self-sacrifice and perpetuate the spirit which from the earliest days has actuated the volunteer firefighter in rendition of service of the highest type in the protection of life and property from fire without the hope of fee or reward.
