I had a very blessed experience with this company( Roto-Rooter).  I had a pretty serious sewer backup and it was after hours. They sent David out to our house fairly quick and he was very respectful, kind and willing to do what was needed  in order to fix the problem. He was patient with my kids questions haha and took care of the issue at hand. Very clean and respectful.

They conducted our inspections before buying the house, but they did not tell us that they would charge us for two inspections. One charge was for $75, which we received an invoice for and paid promptly. The other was $175. We did not receive a statement until ot was "past due" 60 days. We've been ripped off, no doubt in my mind.

Marv's didn't do a thorough inspection of my house in the pre-sale inspections and didn't discover there was a gas leak until after I closed.  Then they took 9 days to repair the leak.  THEN they refused to apologize for their mistakes in the inspection and billed me full price.  The former owner and I worked it out so we each paid a small portion, but the owner of Marv's refused to accept responsibility for their errors.  They also sent me an invoice whining  about how they lost $400 since November on this job.  Boo-freaking-hoo.  They employ dozens of people and have half a dozen trucks, I think they're doing ok.  If they'd done the inspection right in the first place, they could have collected the FULL amount of the repair costs. That's their JOB, to inform the home owner of their options during inspections.  If one method isn't an option (a sniff test) to detect a leak, the homeowner or buyer should be informed of other methods  Don't have your home inspected by Marv's unless you specifically request a pressure test on the gas lines and then watch them do it.

This place is pathetic. I bought a house and had marvs do the inspection they came back with everything was okay.  Well my shower only has hot or cold water no water pressure and nothing works right. Well I called another place and got a quote and it turns out I have to replace 80% of the piping in my house. Stay away from these theiveing morons they will charge you $75 to say everything is okay when it's not.

Had the guy look at the water heater for like 5 minutes just to tell me if it needed to be replaced or repaired. He showed up looking totally unprofessional and like he hadn't showered in days. Didn't tell me what I owed. Now I'm out over $80 after receiving my first bill saying I'm late already. Not even close to getting my name right on the bill. Doubt there would be repercussions for not paying. Just called to make sure I had the address right and the after-hours telephone person on the phone was incredibly rude. Would definitely not recommend. Avoid like a bag of poop on fire. Because they're basically the same thing.
