Story

Rowland Water District originally provided water service to 200 local ranchers and farmers. The District was formed in 1953 and provides potable and recycled water for approximately 55,000 people through 13,500 service connections in portions of Rowland Heights, Hacienda Heights, La Puente and the cities of Industry and West Covina.

Since 1953 RWD has nurtured 55,000 residents in Rowland Heights, La Puente, Hacienda Heights including Industry and West Covina. Governed by a 5 (five) member board elected by the public.

Thanks for the hospitality and answering questions when I went in to the office. Sources of life for this district  (water) in bottled and tap are the Colorado River. For water quality the EPA can be contacted.

This district ameliorated its operations with: Nogales/Fullerton ( in progress) grade separation, Whittier Booster Pump Station and the Tomich Booster Pump Station. Tom Coleman is the GM.
