This place is a little rough around the edges, but it's a Youngstown classic! The atmosphere is very cool and unique. Friendly crowd. Awesome service. A little slow with the food but they were training a new cook. You HAVE to try to RASPBERRY BBQ sauce. Super unique and yummy!

This place has been KICK ASS for years! Way before bar rescue. They've been doing it right for a long time. The RASPBERRY BBQ is the best in town! Great music! Great bartenders! And John (the owner) is a great guy! This place is a joint, in the true sense of the word. Kudos to the whole gang at the ROYAL OAKS!

You can never go wrong at The Oaks. Great food, cold beer and and atmosphere that can't be beat. This is Youngstown!!!

Royal oaks doesn't respect being in our neighborhood and the residents That's why there are very few people who live in this community step foot in that bar. The outdoor concert was supposed to end at 12am and they keep going well after. Their patrons come and park their cars on Northeast Homeowners area that they pay to have landscaped to beautify our neighborhood, going home to their manicured lawns....If we go to their neighborhoods we get the police called if we sit too long at a stop sign or drive to slow. Be mindful of the people that live here!

Once again I'm in town visiting family, just stopped in to watch the Ohio State game. Grabbed drinks at the bar and sat in a booth. Server stopped by the table and asked if we were eating. We said yes in a few.... 45 minutes later sever has not stopped back at all. Server has been sitting in a booth hanging out, we continue to go up to the bar to grab drinks. Bartender was standing behind the bar eating. I guess this place is a bar rescue fail.
