I have a 2004 VW Passat and a 1998 Pontiac Grand am. I used to always take both of my cars to Beavercreek automotive on grange hall and Kemp. However I stopped going there after my friend diagnosed a electrical issue in my Passat and showed me it was just a fuse. I took it in the shop at Beavercreek auto repair just to see what they would diagnose it with. They looked at it for about 10 minutes and said it was a electrical wiring issue and quoted me 350 dollars or more. So I abruptly stopped shopping there to say the least. I then tried Hilltop automotive in Moraine and wow those guys are just plain rude. No customer service whatsoever and anything I had fixed there broke within a week. They normally would fix whatever broke but they were just rude and argued with me about it. So after much frustration with mechanics and about 2 years later I moved to Miamisburg. I had a brake issue on my Passat and ran it by Ruskins on a walk in apointment. They installed my two rear breaks for 150 dollars on the spot and took them about 45 minutes, *Which I might add was the lowest price I had been quoted after calling about 15 shops in a 10 mile radius of my house. I was skeptical because this was a gas station car mechanic and my parents told me growing up never to get your car repaired at one of these places. But after being burned by other shops I thought I would give it a shot. Well they put my breaks on and I didn’t even have to make a appointment. It took them less than a hour and the manager/owner was extremely friendly down to earth. He told me some other things about my car that needed work later on and gave me some prices. I took my car to another shop to see if they would find the same problem and they did but quoted me 200 dollars more than Ruskins did to fix it. Anyways I started taking my grand am and my Passat to this shop for problems ranging from electrical to tires to transmission work. I even got a diagnosis on another issue from another shop that was a cheap fix just to test Ruskins to see if they are honest (Remember I was sick of getting burned by mechanics) and they fixed the little problem for free *It was a power steering issue. The guys who work there are friendly down to earth quick not rude, but they will tell you how it is. Plus they can fix my German car and my American car! And they have the cheapest prices ive ever gotten from a mechanic. Oh I had my check engine light on and they fixed the issue but never charged me to diagnose the issue where as other shops have charged me 50 dollars just to check the check engine light. I don’t care what kind of car you have. If you’re a person who doesn’t know much about cars and are on a budget this place is great. Even if your rich and have a BMW I would still take it to this place. They have my business for life bottom line.
