"Beginning on June 8 2020, the library will open its physical location to provide limited services for individuals with access to the Armour Academic Center. Material pick up/drop off and reduced-capacity study spaces on the 5th floor will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The 7th floor study space will be available 24/7. Changes in layout and furniture have been made in consideration of social distancing.Other library services, including reference, reserves, interlibrary loan, and patron support will continue to be available exclusively online during the library's virtual service desk hours."

Rush University medical library has a very soothing ambience. With group study rooms, couches to relax when tired, arrays of books to select from and free to use desktops at your disposal. A place to be when you are ready to study.
Library science has evolved. What would you expect from this library today? First, service multiple schools - health care areas that train all medical professions and related disciplines. Next. User friendly cutting edge access retrieval and storage of data across a broad range of health care systems. Provide information from any and all disciplines that impact the delivery of care. In addition to print references and texts, multiple electronic journals & books. Access to databases. Specific and multidisciplinary research. Theory and practice. Evidence based. Underpinnings. Multimedia information availability. No matter where you are access, whenever possible. Tall order. They fill it and more. Wouldn't happen without great professional reference librarians trained in teaching you, helping you learn to access that information, up close and personal or in workshops. I learned to ask for help. I'd like to believe that I know how to access information. There is always something new. Something I did not consider, which may impact my research. A fantastic library. It's breadth depth specificity accessibility and staff served me perfectly.
